Tara Wray (Director, Producer, Camera): Tara’s first film, an autobiographical documentary titled Manhattan, Kansas, premiered at the 2006 SXSW Film Festival where it received an audience award. It went on to screen at New York’s Lincoln Center, and festivals worldwide, earning several top prizes including Best Film at the Brooklyn Arts Council's 41st International Film & Video Festival. Manhattan, Kansas has since gone on to air on PBS, Channel Oktoskop in Austria, and can currently be seen on the Documentary Channel. Her original comics have been published in the literary journal 3rd Bed.
Josh Melrod (Director, Producer, Camera): Josh attended the MFA program for creative writing at Washington University in St. Louis. He was a founding editor of the Land-Grant College Review, the award-winning literary journal, and is an accomplished fiction writer. As a printmaker and visual artist his works are included in numerous public and private collections including the Boston Public Library and the Hood Museum of Art at Dartmouth University. Recently he’s produced and edited video for Mapendo International, an organization dedicated to protecting African refugees, and the Vermont Cheese Council. He was associate producer of Manhattan, Kansas.
In January Tara and Josh were selected as one (duo) of “10 Filmmakers To Watch in 2010” by The Independent.
