Recently he directed a lifestyle documentary in Ghana for a major sports-clothing company about several star players competing in the Africa Cup of Nations soccer tournament. For the past three years he has directed the celebrated “The Drums Inside Your Chest” poetry performances and concert films in collaboration with actress Amber Tamblyn; the first DRUMS film premiered at the 2009 Newport Beach Film Festival. He is currently working on a webisode documentary entitled “You Belong Everywhere” which chronicles the experience of troubadour poet and troublemaker Derrick Brown on tour with Cold War Kids. Stephen is a 2003 graduate of the Film MFA program at Art Center College of Design, in Pasadena, CA, and a 1998 graduate of the University of California at Berkeley, where he received a BA with honors in English Literature.
