Maria Mealla, raised in La Paz, Bolivia, moved to the United States at the age of 19. Studying at St. Edward's University in Austin, Texas, Maria earned her BA in Theater Arts as well as an expertise in making margaritas. While in Austin, Maria dedicated her time to directing theatre that ranged from puppetry productions to site specific performances. Upon her arrival in San Francisco her focus switched from theatre to film, and she now devotes her time to screenwriting and directing. If you are what you eat, Maria is 70% cheese.
