My name is Dave. I'm a bookworm living in the Southeast United States who wants nothing more than to see more quality work come from the younger generation published, and out into the world. For as long as I can remember I've been a huge proponent of supporting local endeavors, buying local coffee, local beer, local books; and while I stayed away from self-publishing sites like Lulu.com, I still think it's very important that every writer who produces a truly outstanding piece of literature gets his due and isn't doomed to the obscurity of competing with thousands of other writers who are 'writing books' by uploading word documents. I joined Kickstarter because I am looking for at least some cash so as to open up a publishing house dedicated to supporting local writers, enabling them to express their creativity, free from worry that no one will ever see and appreciate the hard work they've created.
