Posted project update #10Details for show, books have arrived
Post CommentOver on my Flickr stream I have posted more specific information regarding the first showing of my Bridgetown project. Hooray! I want to take a quick moment just to say thank you to all of you. Those of you who pledged enough to earn a book, they are currently in my possession and I will be personalizing them tonight and hopefully getting them in the mail to you tomorrow. But even if you were not one of those backers, I appreciate all of your help, and you are all acknowledged in the forward to the book. So again, thank you.

Posted project update #8Even more new work posted
I am continuing the posting of new work generated by the second round of photographing the Portland bridges. Keep an eye peeled on my Flickr stream (you should all know where it is by now). Also, all postcards, singles and sets are out in the mail as of yesterday. Matted prints all went out today. That leaves just the book to complete at this point and a gallery showing to nail down, with the development of the series and creating new images woven through all this. Let me know how you like the prints and postcards. :-)

Posted project update #7New bridge images
Post CommentHi everyone,
I have just begun posting new images from my second cycle through the bridges, beginning with a fifth image of the Fremont, with new images of the Hawthorne, Burnside, St. Johns, Morrison and Marquam to immediately follow.
I have been running a bit behind in getting all the postcards out, my sincere apologies. All the single postcards have been mailed, so you should already received yours or soon will. International mail might take a bit longer yet, so if you are one of those three, keep an eye peeled. The packs of ten have just begun mailing, so if you had not received yours as yet, don't worry, they are coming along this week.
For those who had prints, they are finished and matted, I am just waiting on archival storage envelopes from Light Impressions to arrive so I can finish packing those. The initial envelopes I had bought did not account for the thickness of mat board and foam core and were too small. But the new envelopes should be here today or tomorrow so those too will be leaving by week's end.
Thanks again, and hope you all enjoy the new images, which can be seen as always on my Flickr stream:

Warm regards,

Hello,
I have not received the postcards yet . . . were you going to mail them on Friday the 10th, or Friday the 17th?
Many Thanks,

Posted project update #5Ross Island Bridge
Post CommentI have begun posting images of the Ross Island Bridge, the last bridge left in this series. Next I will be revisiting a few of the bridges, just to add additional images to the series and see what else there is to find.

Research has begun on the book. I do not plan on making it too text and history heavy, but I would like some interesting history and personal anecdotes to accompany the photography so it is not too image heavy.
Though things are still not locked up, it is looking increasingly certain that Bridgetown's premier will be held at the Salome Gallery in the Pearl District this December. More details on that as they become certain.
Thanks again to all who contributed. The help is much appreciated.

Posted project update #4New work on Flickr
Post CommentI just posted another image of the Burnside Bridge, just one more of that bridge to post and then my three from the Ross Island. Also went up to OHSU and photographed the Marquam and Ross Island bridges from up there. The film is not yet developed so we shall see what came of it. Would not mind a return trip with something a bit more telephoto.

Also, approached a gallery today to discuss being the first venue to host the Bridgetown show. Got a tentative yes, which I hope they will confirm on Thursday when I will be in attendance at one of their openings. It looks like their first available slot would be in December.

Hey, just wanted to let you know your postcard landed here in Australia yesterday -- thanks.
