Emily, so sorry for the misunderstanding, but the images shown on the Kickstarter page are meant as examples of Josefina's past work, and are not the prints our donors will receive. The prints available will be student-designed prints, or the Anniversary Print, which Josefina will be collaborating on with the students. Our YAAW class would still love to have your support! (However, if you'd like to cancel your donation, visit the Kickstarter project page and click “Manage My Pledge.” At the bottom of the next page you’ll see the “Cancel My Pledge” button.)

Posted project update #2Meet Josefina Jacquin
Post CommentHello Kickstarter friends! This week I want to introduce you to Josefina Jacquin, the Oakland-based artist who is integral to our project. Josefina is not only a great artist, but an experienced educator as well, which is why we asked her to teach the class. In her own words:
“I have been teaching silkscreening to youth for over twelve years. From summer and after school classes at the Mission Cultural Center, to teaching printmaking as the core of the middle school art program at Presidio Hill School in San Francisco. I believe arts education is imperative for a well rounded education because it provides youth with an outlet for self expression, builds self esteem and provides valuable skills. I’m really excited to work with YBCA and the 15th anniversary of the youth arts program- particularly to support students to find a path from the idea to the end project.”You can see some of Josefina’s work here, but visit http://josefinajacquin.com/ for more information and an entire gallery of images. Please be aware that these images are not the prints our backers will receive, but examples of the artist's work.
Become a backer of this project, and you could receive your own piece of Josefina’s work in collaboration with the YAAW students on The Anniversary Print.
