Posted project update #3Why the Kickstarter site was cancled - Project STILL HAPPENING!
Post CommentYour donation to To the Moon Productions film "World Circus Culture" is deeply appreciated & needed. We have decided to cancel the Kickstarter fundraising site (through which you donated) and fundraise on our own.
Why this matters to YOU: When I cancel the Kickstarter site your donation will be canceled, your credit card will NOT be charged, and I will NOT get the money...UNLESS...you do an extra step and re-do your donation using an EASIER process! Rewards will still be offered and all donations are still tax deductible.
Why we are canceling the Kickstarter site:
1) Too many people are having problems or questions about the donating process. Too complicated!
2) Raising $8,000 with an all or nothing deadline of Jan 31st is a too difficult when I will be on the road filming for 80% of the fundraising time. I only would have gotten your donation if I'd raised all of the money by the deadline. I won't be able to make as many contacts, calls, emails, and meetings as I need to guarantee I meet that deadline and it's not something I can worry about when I'm on the road.
Why this matters to ME: I don't want to loose the money you pledged! the film is still happening! I still need LOTS of money. If you know me, you know I am a very determined person, canceling Kickstarter does not mean the project is canceled - We have already left for Europe & are filming NOW!The goal & need is still: $8,000 by Jan 31st!!
I hope everyone understands this change and chooses to re-do their donation. Please let me know if you have ANY questions. (I should have started with this method, but hindsight is 20 20, right?)
I hate to inconvenience everyone after their immense generosity, but hope everyone will choose to take a moment and donate again, this time final.
PLEASE RE- DO your DONATION:
a MUCH EASIER payment method on To the Moon Productions website
