Team Wonderblend

Portland, OR

Team Wonderblend is made up to two crazy Highschool Freshman: Ethan and Ashlen. We're both into things like motorized armchairs with flamethrowers, DIY Segways, twenty five foot tall trebuchets, giant steel robots that destroy other ones, just to name a few. Yeah, that's us.

Hey Roy! Yeah, sorry about that. We had a few server issues, there. I guess the Youtube page is where you could find Wonderblend stuff. Unfortunately, yeah, there aren't really any more bouts than that, although it would be nice to go fire it up and destroy some stuff though, wouldn't it? For our first time we didn't do too bad, I think, but we did certainly get killed. Ashlen and I are casually looking into upgrading/modifying Twist-O-Crunch for future competitions, though. -Ethan

Yeah, we gotta do some blog-postin'. Sorry for the lack of updates. I'll update it tomorrow when i feel less tired. Well anyway, we just started school, so that takes a lot of time, but we've been working on some more electronic stuff, and getting the weapon all set up.

    High Current Motor Control, Anybody?

For all of you EE/Robotics types who pledged to us (or not, that's cool too), make sure to read our latest blog post for a possible excellent deal on my super high current motor controllers. We're ordering as a group to decrease costs, and the prices can be very good indeed.

    Anyway, here's that: http://wonderblend.endoftheinternet.org/...

    New Website

If you haven't noticed, my website is down. Blah. Yeah, I don't know if I can get it working again, but I've contacted the admin, who hasn't responded yet. Anyway, I've decided to host it on my old computer, with a wimpy basic-cable connection. We'll see how that works. Anyway, I'm still working on it, but here it is: http://wonderblend.endoftheinternet.org/

Hopefully my other one (from a huge datacenter) works again, and then you can forget about this. Sorry about the confusion.

    Fancy Real-time Updates!

    Howdy Wonderblend Supporters!

First of all: Mechanical parts ordered! Yay! We ordered seven-hundred-ish dollars worth of motors, gearboxes, and things to arrive this next Friday! If you really want to hear about all of that as it happens, I just thought I'd let you know that our blog is probably going to be a tad more updatey when it comes to the robot. If you really want to check out every individual detail we've made to the robot, go there. So here's that: http://etharooni.polorix.net/wonderblend/

Also, Backers, make sure you respond to that message I sent y'all, if you want your rewards and stuff. Plus, I want to know how you found out about us.

    Thanks,
    Ethan

    You guys are awesome.

I feel like I've thanked you backers a lot, but you don't know how great I feel that people like you are willing to donate to us. It really makes me happy. You made this project possible, and now what was previously just a dream of two High School engineers, can now actually come alive. Thanks a lot for making this possible.

    Thanks

You guys are amazing. Seriously. We both had hoped to build something like this, but neither one of us suspected that so many people would be willing to donate, or that the project could actually come together. Now it can! Craziness!

Thanks a lot. For realz. We really appreciate every contribution. Not to be cheesy, it's actually pretty amazing and humbling to know that people are willing to help others so generously just because they like the idea. Thanks.

Backers: Be prepared for some of the craziest thank you notes you've ever seen, as well as an insane killer robot coming to life because of you.

    Thanks again,
    Team Wonderblend.

P.S. Be sure to check our website for the latest news on how the coolest lawnmower ever will come together. http://etharooni.polorix.net/wonderblend/
