Posted project update #4Less than 2 weeks to go before 60 Hours
Post CommentJust wanted to let you all know that the sky lanterns have been ordered and received and that I've just put in an order for UV-light sensitive projects. I've decided not to buy supplies for LED Throwies (little, individual magnetic LED lights) because they are powered by lithium batteries and are pretty wasteful even though they are very cool looking. Instead, the money will go towards the scaffolding rental for the yarnbombing project & plaster for the 60 Word Poem Firing Range Project.
Beulahland has been undergoing much beautification in preparation for the big event. We've discovered and cleared out two natural "rooms" in the upper field: one in the middle of 3 large pine trees and one under the protection of a unkempt apple tree. Our next big project is constructing the OutHaus.
Be sure to check out the 60 Hours blog, Lightning Bag, for daily updates and fun stuff. So far, we have 56 confirmed participants, although I believe that number could be drastically higher with unconfirmed participants. I believe we now also have films from Denmark.
Thank you again for your support! This is going to be good!
Truly,
Amelia -

Posted project update #3We did it!! Thank you thank you thank you!
Post CommentThank you, our noble 18 backers, for making this kickstarter successful. We dug up a bottle of champagne that had been waiting for a grand occasion, and we made it feel loved and useful on behalf of all of you.
So far, we have 46 participants confirmed for the event coming from 5 different states in the US and 5 other countries on 3 other continents. The word is spreading like wildfire, and our hearts are starting to pitter-patter with much excitement as pieces of the puzzle are falling into place.
In the next day or so, I will place an order for our sky lanterns! Hip hip hooray!
In the meantime, please visit the 60 Hours website to keep abreast of the latest updates, projects, participants and schedule.
Merçi, danke, gracias, grazie, obrigado, dziękuję!
Truly,
Amelia, Jen & Noel -
