Posted project update #14RUNYON JUST WON!
Hey gang, just over an hour ago, RUNYON won two awards at the Mockfest - the world's only film festival dedicated to mockumentary films.
The first award we won was BEST ATHLETIC FILM! We're proud of this award, which is a regular tradition each year as the festival director is a big extreme sports guy. They all just really loved RUNYON at the festival. And winning this award is the most athletic anyone in our cast or crew has ever felt.
And... drum roll... Eddie Pepitone WON BEST ACTOR ! He earned it, and made it look easy. He's just got funny in his bones, and was fall-down-funny whether the cameras were rolling or not. If you want, tell Eddie congrats on facebook: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Eddie-Pepitone-Fan-Page/139973672702157
And you, backer... thanks for your part in this. We've won at 2 out of 2 festivals. And you made sure we could get this made in order to get there.
Thanks gang. And CONGRATS!

Posted project update #13Exclusive: Eddie Heckles at Mockfest Film Festival
Post CommentHey Runyonians,
We had a great screening yesterday at the festival, RUNYON went over great - and it was a treat to see Clint Howard, who had just been given an award earlier, laughing hysterically at the film.
No word yet on nominations, but we'll know this afternoon about nominations and awards and we'll keep you posted as soon as the word is out.
Just loaded: Here's an exclusive video of Eddie doing his "heckler bit" at the festival yesterday:
A pic of Eddie getting interviewed last night, and a pic of co-writers Karen Simmons and Eddie Pepitone:

Are we receiving a DVD even if we didn't pledge at that level? I ask as someone who didn't receive a poster as of yet. Thanks!

Indeed, if you haven't received your poster by now, you are getting a DVD, even if you didn't pledge at that level!

Posted project update #11The film you backed WON last night.
Hey Runyonistas,
Great news. Last night Runyon: Just Above Sunset episode 5 screened at the finals of a comedy shorts competition put on by the Burbank International Film Festival. We won. Here's what this means: We get presented with a "Best in Show" award this Thursday night in Burbank (quite fitting for a mockumentary that features so many dogs) at the official opening of the festival, and it gets screened again that night (I'm awaiting an email from the fest director with all the deets.)
Here's the new cut, newly posted on youtube of the winning episode, that would have never been completed had you not chosen to take the time to register for a Kickstarter account and do what was necessary to back this project. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
Best (in show),
Troy Conrad

Got my DVD and picture today. Thanks!
I still haven't gotten my copy yet. Hopefully it comes in this week. Otherwise, I'm right on track to get it when the public does. Wah! Crying tears of fear.
