Posted project update #1"Why I'm involved in this project" ~ Rob Piper
Post CommentI am an actor that has had to become a producer because he is frustrated that there are not enough opportunities to act in films. I am an actor that has to hold a regular day job because I am one of the 10,000 actors (that are not Tom Hanks or Denzel Washington) that would live below the poverty line if they made their living exclusively as actors.
But who is to say that an actor cannot make his living exclusively as an actor if he just made his own opportunities (his own films). Who's to say that he cannot create opportunity in a city that he loves so other actors (and directors, and crew, and writers, etc.) can do the same?
That is why I am doing this. That is why I am involved in a project that has dedicated, skilled, and passionate people. A project that once finished will be so damn good, that people will take notice . . . a project that will lead to even bigger and better things not just for us, but for all of Washington DC.
