Post CommentWell, we came a long way together on this Kickstarter Journey.
Despite everyone's generous pledges, we did not reach the goal on July 4th.
But do not mourn. Rejoice!

Post CommentWell we made it this far!
There are just over 35 Hours remaining until the deadline.
Maybe a bunch of people will donate last minute style.
I want to thank everyone who has pledged so far, and let you know that in the event we can't reach the Kickstarter goal in the next 35 hours, I will have a "Plan B" for you all which will enable us to move forward with what we have and get you your rewards, and me some time to draw!
That said, I am still hoping we make the goal somehow!!
I will be at work all day the next few days, starting in a few minutes, so I wanted to take a sec and write this little update.
Tell everyone you know that there's only a day left for Nicolas Cage! The Comic Book Experience!

commented on a projectHahaha thanks for that :-) I am still optimistic we can hit the goal last-minute-underdog style - however, i have been formulating a "plan b" should we miss the mark on the 4th, which will allow us to keep moving forward - and get everyone their rewards as well as give me some extra free time to draw the rest of nicolas cage! the comic book experience. with the two thousand or so dollars currently pledged, i can still manage to take about eight weeks off (which should be enough time for me to crank out the cage book) and make everyone's backer rewards. that said, i am still hoping we pull through on here!!! ALSO i haven't heard much back from anyone as far as things they'd like me to try to fit into the story - anyone have unusual cage factoids worth exploring? do tell! i've got a good amount thus far, but there's always room for more...

Post CommentI made a video update at two in the morning, and worked on it til about three, and my computer won't let me export the video file. It worked the other two times I made videos, so I'm not sure why it is acting that way now, but I wanted to post this link to page three anyway. If I can figure out why my computer is hating me I'll post the video update asap. But for now, here is page three!
We have 21 days til project deadline! Please back this project - I promise to make AWESOME COMICS!

Happy Memorial Day!
Had the day off so I went to the coffee place, got a frozen drink, and drew another sample page!
I was playing with a few different ideas but decided to just run from where we left off on the first one.
If I can spare a few more minutes tonight I'm going to attempt to shoot a video update, so I can share some sketches and the like with you guys.
Also, I'm planning on making some banner ads so we can get the word out easier - there's just over a month to go before the deadline!
Anyway, thanks so much to those of you who have backed this project already!
More to come oh so soon!

In closing, I just read moments ago that in addition to hosting over 300 elaborately framed comic book covers, the walls of the breakfast room and two bedrooms in Nicolas Cage's home also sport model train sets on raised tracks below the ceilings. Nicolas Cage is AMAZING.

Post CommentI am amazed we are already at $600 and it's only the end of week one!
You guys rock!
I am so pumped about this Nicolas Cage comic book.
When I was browsing the internet for more random Cage knowledge I learned that he had/has a collection of assorted shrunken heads in a billiard room in one of his homes...
Within the next week I'll most likely begin the backers-only updates on progress with developing the comic, but this update here is to make sure everyone knows I have added a new reward!
I've been asked by numerous people how they can get a t-shirt, so now for a pledge of $35 or more, you can choose to be WILD AT HEART and get a limited edition NICOLAS CAGE IS MY PERSONAL SUPER HERO t-shirt!
