We here at Circus Devils Productions would like to thank everyone for pledging to I RAZOR.
With filming on its way, we are very excited and grateful that we have doubled our modest goal. There is only one day left, so please let anyone know who may want a DVD!
The first portion of shooting was a success, but we still have a lot more work to do. Filming will continue in late August and into September.

We would first off like to THANK YOU for helping us reach over half our pledge limit within the first THREE HOURS of launching our Kickstarter drive. The support we've received thus far makes us happy to say the least. We are grateful to the fans of our visuals and your willingness and excitement to be a part of the strange trip we are saddling up to take you on.
So to begin, I would like to let you in on a little bit about I RAZOR. First off, filming will begin at the end of this month, in Northeastern Ohio. We want everyone to be pleasantly surprised, and we believe that taking it slow and being just a bit mysterious is always more sexy, but we can tell you this: Sgt. Disco and Professor Salmon have their work cut out for them. Through terrifying dreams and yet more terrifying realities, our two fair protagonists will mount a conquest of intense (dare we say epic?) proportions.
What I can tell you about the film is that conceiving I RAZOR thus far has been a work in progress. There has been a lot of back and forth about what to do, not only logistically, but creatively. Should we make a conventional feature film? I immediately assumed we should. Todd said no. But Todd, what about? No, Todd said. We must follow the path that all Circus Devils albums have taken. And that path follows intuition, and vision. A certain psychic trust and devotion. It took us some back and forth about how exactly to approach the film. And from there, we have begun building our framework for how to make I RAZOR.
On a personal note, it has been one of the great pleasures of my life to work with Todd on all the levels in which we've worked - our relationship as producer and artist, as musical collaborators in Brother Earth (shameless self-promotion: our new album Pajama Party is now up on iTunes), as videographers and co-directors of the Circus Devils videos, and most importantly, as friends. This time around, with such a grand undertaking as a (perhaps) feature length film, our relationship is no different. Our roles in making it, however, are new, because neither of us have ever done anything on this scale before.
Furthermore, while talking to Bob recently about songwriting, through the drunken afternoon haze, he let me in on a little secret to his method. "You can't ask why." He said. I'm still a little fuzzy on the context of the conversation because, man, when you haven't lived in Ohio for 6 years and then your Ohio friends come into town, you feel like a lightweight. But what I think he meant was similar to how both Bob and Todd approach their respective roles in making a Circus Devils album. You must trust your inner vision. You can't ask why. You have to just follow the little gnome into the woods.
Also, yes, there will be boobs in the film. But for art's sake. We swear.
