Update #11: After the finish line...

Greetings kind souls who gave to the big little film known as PRODIGAL-

Finishing this film proved to be quite the ride as we were pushed on by a tremendous amount of work from so many people across the post-production board.  It was arduous.  laborious.  toilsome.  and so many other SAT words that communicate that it was WORK...but we've done it.  The film is finished!

Now we are starting up the next phase which centers mainly around the festival circuit. I'm proud to announce that the Boston International Film Festival has accepted PRODIGAL into its 2012 line-up!  We are set to screen the film at the Lowes Cineplex in downtown Boston on Saturday, April 14th at 1:30pm.  May this be the first of many...

Also on the horizon is the distribution and licensing deal we are about to agree to with SHORTS HD (http://www.shortshd.com/) the premiere company for short films.  So the good news is they want to show our film on their TV channel, a few european countries and set it up with iTunes.  The not as good news is that I've been assured on many different levels the revenue generated from this will be a fraction of what the film cost.  Its more about the promotion and prestige.  Time will tell.  All in all, the fact that they want our film is an absolute victory and serves as a testimony to your generous donation and the folks that put in the work on this film.  Truly it is big deal and separates this short from the vast majority of the ones made.

We'll look to be sending out DVD's and photos soon to the people we promised them to.  Lord I'm thankful we didn't put a date on that.  Um...we didn't right?...

Lost of love from a currently rainy Los Angeles,

    ben

we SWEPT the Idyllwild Festival of Cinema!

    Backers..

We had an AMAZING time at the Idyllwild Festival of Cinema this past weekend!  This festival was the first to official accept and screen 'BUTTONS' to festival goers, and we had a blast playing our film alongside many other quality stories.

A surprise to our group was taking home the most awards of any other project (feature, featurette or short) competing at the festival!

'BUTTONS' took home four of our seven nominations, awards including:  Best Score, Feature or Featurette (Samuel J Smythe), Best Actor, Female, Feature or Featurette (Moniqua Plante), Best Screenplay, Featurette (Andrew Fisher) and Best Director, Featurette (Andrew Fisher)!  Attached is a photo of our team present at the festival.

We will be reporting about more festival acceptance news soon, so please be sure you've connected with us by clicking LIKE at: www.facebook.com/buttonsintheground

This month are circling back with all of you to be sure we've honored your kickstarter rewards.  If for some reason you have not been contacted, message us please (info@buttonsintheground.com) and we will get your promised rewards to you.  We are also selling extra DVDs (aside from the DVD rewarded to you) for $10 donation to help us continue to fund our promotions for the film - mainly festival entry fees in addition to participation costs (travel & lodging).  If you would like to order more DVDs, please email us at:  info@buttonsintheground.com

Thank you for your ongoing support and enthusiasm in BUTTONS IN THE GROUND!

    with respect to your REWARDS

    Backers,

We are still working on your rewards that we've promised you, but we will diligently get these to you as soon as they are ready!

With respect to our DVD, we are taking time to edit some more special features content and this process might take more time in which we want to be sure all content gets onto the DVD.

If any of you are troubled or worried by this, please email Producer Trenton Waterson (trentonwaterson@gmail.com) and he will give you a much more detailed explanation as to why patience is a virtue and we will make it worth your while!

Thanks once again for your generosity and we hope to see you at tomorrow's premiere!
