Posted project update #14The future of Pants!
Post CommentLet’s get this out of the way right quick. We didn’t meet 100% of our Kickstarter funding goal. We did reach just over $4,000, which is fantastic.
We've already privately thanked all the people who backed Pants! Their support means the world to us and our dream of getting this crazy, fun game into homes everywhere.
If you made a pledge on October 7 and didn't receive an email, keep reading. And thank you!
We learned a lot from doing this Kickstarter project. There are things we could’ve done differently, and certainly better, than we did. We’ll apply those lessons as we move forward.
One incredibly awesome thing we learned is that literally hundreds of people genuinely love the game concept and art. Previously, the game had been hidden from public view, which wasn't telling us anything. Over a 30-day span, we discovered we truly have a winning product.
But that's all about us. Let’s talk about you and what happens next.
What you can do now
This week we set up an Official Pants! website. We even took some of those lessons we mentioned earlier and made the coolest, most informative Pants! card game website ever. Everything you need to know about Pants! going forward is there.
If you've just arrived here, here’s what you need to do now:
- Go the Pants! website. http://www.pantscardgame.com
- Click on the Pre-order rewards link in the menu.
- Lock in your Kickstarter rewards and pricing.
- Get your goodies!
The Future of Pants!
What’s in store for this card game? The potential for this game is tremendous and we’re going to take it into the stratosphere. Nothing less than complete global Pants! game playing will be accepted. We won’t stop until that happens.
In the nearer future, we need to get enough pre-orders in so we can get the game manufactured. Once the people who pre-order get their copies, we’ll be taking it to toy fairs and retailers everywhere.
Make sure you sign up for those email updates on the site. That way you’ll hear the juicy goings-on before the rest of the world.
Cheers,
David and Jenni

Posted project update #12What happens when you pledge
Post CommentI got a message from someone yesterday who was a little confused on how Kickstarter pledging works. If one person has a question, I guarantee there are others wondering the same thing. Let's clear it up!
When you pledge...
- Whatever amount you pledge goes directly toward the manufacturing of the game.
- You receive a reward based on the level (amount) you pledge. Every level at $10 and above gets a copy of the game.
- If the project doesn't get 100% funded, nothing happens. This also means you don't get charged a thing. No money changes hands unless we get 100% of the amount we're seeking.
Someone else wondered about the Sparky Portrait reward. He was concerned that if he pledged and it didn't get funded, he wouldn't get the portrait. This is correct. However, I'm going to honor those super low portrait rates for anyone who pledges at those levels. If you pledge, and it doesn't get funded (bite your tongue!), just contact me afterward and let me know you still want your portrait done. You'll get the Kickstarter rate.
So take a plunge, pledge without fear. Exciting times for us all!
Questions? Ask away! We're here to help.
