Lief Storer

San Francisco, CA

I attended school at UC Davis where I got a B.S. in optical engineering while riding 50+ days a year on the snow. During my time in college, I fostered a technical background enriched with a passion for art and design. I started working as an engineer out of school before turning my attention to BoomBotix and not looking back.

No guarantees...we can TRY but it could be hard to do without some support behind it.

You can pick which speaker you like with carbon, army camo, and the gray. Go to boombotix.com and you can see the full selection.

You can get the BB2 in Gray. The actual production model will be the same as this color. You might want to trick your speaker out with a pink belt clip!?

    Tech Update

19 days to go and it looks like we still have a good shot at making this happen still!

We've made some adjustments to the current design to increase the free range of motion on the band and ultimately make the product more comfortable to wear.  I'm also happy to say that we're able to shave 3mm off of the Bluetooth adapter depth to help make this adapter a little bit easier to rock out with.

Some other small adjustments include a stronger internal construction to make the nano fit a little more securely and make the button pushes a little more precise.

We're also making some plans to showcase the product in our booth at CES, so if anyone has a cool idea for marketing it there, let us know.  Water guns may be encouraged.

Thank you to everyone for your support so far.

As far as a marketing idea, I noticed your new "busty" adds on your FB page. If you get funded, you could integrate two proof bands to a t-shirt for some of your lady friends and turn the waterguns loose on them. I'd stop and watch!

NOT REALLY... the band on the one in the video is not quite ready for our customers. THe production band is more flexible. You'll be much better off with the production model.

    Just over two weeks in...

Well things got off to a slow start for us but after having picked up some press in PC World, we've finally got some backers and we're not 10% funded.  Looking back on this, I'd say that the importance of getting press and really promoting your project in the right channels is super important.  However, there is one element that will supersede all other factors; Good ol' Lady Luck.

Getting this first press piece is really going to be helpful for us over the next couple weeks.  It really validates the project while also gaining some valuable insight from people that really work in the space.  We're going to really try to leverage this press into getting more coverage and exposure.

Our website got a TON of traffic over this post, so if anything, Kickstarter is proving to be a valuable platform for marketing your idea as well as your brand.

    Onward march!
