commented on a project updateHi Everyone, It was my oversight on 9/22 to say shipping would be included. Early in the project when we discussed how shipping / fulfillment was handled we knew we were on our own to get everyone's shipping information and cover the shipping costs after the project was fully funded. There would have been nothing to ship if we didn't raise the money for the printing. We should have explained this more clearly during the project. Truth is we weren't expecting domestic shipping prices to be so high either and understand the frustration.

commented on a project updateTo address some of these issues. It was an oversight on our part to say domestic shipping would be included in the price. We are trying to put as much into the book as possible and would like to spend the money donated into creating the highest quality book. Domestic shipping we found out because of the weight of the book is a range of 9 - 12 dollars via USPS + the box / bubble wrap and other expenses needed to ship the book. International shipping is spread from $27 - 36.50 dollars via USPS Priority Mail which is the cheapest the US Postal service offers. I'm really sorry about this. I'm listening to the comments, understand the frustrations.

commented on a project@Colin After the initial $65,000 is reached we will be determining the method for selling the book to retailers, and independent book stores, though we will likely remain out of the large book retailers that place all the risk on publishers and create waste with buy back programs.

commented on a project@Alex Good question.. "Will the book be published earlier if you reach the goal before November 5th? Is it ready to go to press or will it just be completed by November 5th?" The answer is no, we will ride out the fundraising process and earn as much as we can above and beyond the goal, which will allow us to make the best book possible. The book is scheduled to go to press on November 5th.
