    An Award, Distribution & More...

    Dear friends,

Been a while since the last update, so this one'll be pretty comprehensive. Thanks to all of you, I am now an award-winning filmmaker. I was recognized at the Gasparilla International Film Festival with their Achievement in Cinema award, which was only possible due to your generosity. Thanks to everyone, you don't know how grateful I am to all of you.

I'm working with Commodity Films, a boutique distribution company that is handling The Bunker and will be repping it to foreign distributors. Commodity is also booking my  festival appearances and future screenings, the first of which will likely be in Tampa this summer.

Please check the SightUnseenPictures.com web site for updates on where the  movie will be showing, or follow me on twitter: http://www.twitter.com/josephmonks and  I'll keep you posted.

I got word today that the final sound mix has been completed by sound engineer Eric Valdes. This was what a big chunk of the money raised went to. This leaves the film in the hands of Adam Fisher and Charles Devos for the film look, credits, and final digital work. These guys are true pros, and I'm sure when they've spiffied things up, you'll be happy with the way the film looks.

Finally, you get to see something tangible you had a hand in. Here's a link to my acceptance speech at Gasparilla 2011. If you dig it, I'd be happy if you shared it with someone else. The word has been getting out about both myself and the movie, and you're the first wave in spreading the news about this project. Hope you like it.

    32 Hours & Counting

Wow. Only 32 hours left to this project and lots of great buzz passing around the Internet right now.

We've got some great backers - all of them, in fact! And we're so grateful that we've just passed the threshold. Of course, a little more never hurts - that will help us enlist some publicity help and additional features.

If you've got the time, please don't hesitate to post on your social sites once again. Here's some stock posts to get you started. Of course, you can get creative and post your own.

    3 Days - And a Little Fun

With spreading the word taking lots of our time these days, there's no INSIDER video this week. However, we did just upload a new video of blind director Joe Monks riding a mechanical bull.

There's nothing wrong with a little fun, right?
