5 Seconds of Your Time to Vote for Shored Up

Remember when we won Indiewire's Project of the Week about a month ago?  Well, now we're competing with four other films to be the Project of the Month.

We have until Friday to get as many votes as we can, and we need your help both to vote and then to share the link on Facebook and elsewhere.  If we win, we get a consultation with the Sundance Film Festival and more recognition for Shored Up.

It truly only takes 5 seconds.  Well, maybe 10.  But no more than 10.  Promise.

Awesome, thanks Greg. We'll emerge from the editing room sometime in 2012 with something great to show for everyone's support.

Thanks for the shout out Greg, we can use all the support we can get. Sorry to hear about the Corp's plan. I'm curious to hear more about the experimental break water, and let's talk about scheduling a screening or two down your way once the film's finished. Ben

The New Math: 2 Days To Go

I was really a sub-par math student in school, as my 9th grade algebra teacher, Mr. Norman would surely agree.  But outside the classroom I could always handle the basic, practical stuff like tip charts, how many feet are in a mile, how many inches of snow it would take to cancel school for the day, etc.

So here we are on Kickstarter with 67 hours left to reach our goal which will require raising another $2,793.  We have 142 backers, and presumably each has at least one friend who would find Shored Up to be an entertaining, important, and otherwise worthy project to support.  If you need reasons or evidence, there's plenty of great examples of why it's such a great project right on our home page.

And so to get back to math if we take that $2,793 and divide by 142, we get $19.66.  This means that if everyone can get just one more person to pledge $20...we're over the top.  That's the kind of math I enjoy.

    Thanks for your help,
    Ben

The ACOE wants to destroy one of the best lefts in Miami Beach! And it's going to cost at least $1.2 million for an experimental break water. Arrrgggh....
