Posted project update #11The New Year, 2012 or: how I want to film C&A before the end of the world... For I guess it's nigh.
Post CommentI turn 29 in a few weeks. I’ve been so busy writing and rewriting that I just realized it as I type here. Which is for the best I suppose. 30 is the big year. 30 is a nice composite number for those of us who are suckers for milestones. 29 will be a big filming year, and by all accounts, an exciting one! But the number 29 is like 17, which was really just a bridge year between 16 and 18. At 16 years old, you could legally drive and at 18 years old, you could watch R rated movies, but at 17 years old... Well, you were just 17 years old.
I know, I’m ranting. I blame it on the rewrites! Which is really what this update is about. I am renting a small office close to my house, where I have covered the walls with scene cards, thumb tacs, and crude storyboards! It’s never too late to learn how to draw right? I mean, I’m only almost 29.
Anyways, I wanted to let you know that I was thinking of ya. 2011 was one of my favorite years to date - all thanks to all of you - and I can boldly say that 2012 is shaping up to be even better! As the process moves forward and the updates get more exciting, I’ll keep you in the loop. For now, I send you my love!! And a metaphor of my current adventure by the lovely girls at GENE DOE ;)

Posted project update #8We made it!
Officially, we are 100% funded! Chloe and Attie is happening!
You are all such amazing, generous people. Even with all the thank you videos, I still don't feel that I have communicated how truly grateful I am for all of you. My dream is being realized and it's all because of you. It's still so hard to believe.
I will do my utmost to make Chloe and Attie an amazing film we can all be proud of together, this is my goal. And to think, the twins are asleep right now and won't hear till the morning ;)
With love and jubilation,
Scooter Corkle

Posted project update #7Chloe and Attie - Kickstarter Finale and Party Time!
Post CommentHowdy all you lovely friends, both new and old!
We are a mere 8 days from our goal, with only $1,409 remaining!! First of all, as a broken record of appreciation, thank you so very, very much for getting us this far. It really is a dream you are helping realize, thank you! We are so close!
Secondly! If you are around Vancouver, the quaint, yet enthusiastic Section 3 in Yaletown has so graciously given us a space to celebrate this incredible journey!! Here is our Facebook invite. It'll be on Tuesday, October 18th, starting at 8pm. Yes, it is two days before close, but that way, I won't cry because it's over ;)
Cheap drinks, good music, big smiles, AND the Twins themselves, Jacqueline and Joyce, will be in attendance for huge hugs of adorability! For those not around Vancouver, we apologize for rubbing it in, but know that you will be missed! Hopefully we can make it to your town when the film hits the road. Call it an huge hug IOU ;)
Love love love,
Scooter Corkle
