Everything's Shipped (As of Last Week)!

Oh hey, I should have posted this a week ago when it happened, but everything has now been manufactured, packaged up, and shipped away. If you don't have your record yet, expect it soon. If you don't have it soon, maybe something got screwy in shipping, let me know and I'll make it right.

Hope everybody enjoys their stuff and thank you once again for making this a reality! Putting out a 12" has been a dream of mine since I was a kid and it never would have happened without the support of you radical guys.

I'm still dragging ass on custom songs because it's quite a bit harder to write rap songs about random people than I thought it would be! But I promise from the bottom of my heart that you will have your song very very soon.

    Okay, thanks again everybody!

    they are HERE!

records are here! saturday i will be shipping these out (unfortunately i do have a day job and no record company interns to do this kind of thing for me)

i know it's been a while since i sent out the request for mailing addresses and i know some of yours may no longer be up-to-date so please email me if so, i'm updating them in the spreadsheet as i go so make sure i have your correct address!

next couple weeks are going to be CUSTOM SONG WEEKS so if you donated at that level expect a musical gift at some point before the end of the month.

thanks guys, these things look and sound great!

    Okay!

Today's obviously the last day of the drive, so thank you to everybody!

One small bit of housekeeping -- since I'm new to Amazon Payments, they are going to hold all funds for two weeks before I can withdraw them so the actual pressing of the records is going to begin a little later than I had planned. This might push back the date of you receiving your package until more like mid-March than early-March. I hope that's okay with everybody, but I don't have any other options so thanks for understanding.

Once again, thanks for all the support and I think you're all gonna be REAL happy with the records, we've definitely raised enough to make them very cool and unique. :D

    Okay, We're Almost Done!

So, as you can see, the project is about to close in four days, at which point the donations will be released, and I will begin the daunting process of actually pressing and delivering these records. In case you are curious, here's how this is going to work.

#1) I am going to get the records pressed. This can take a few weeks, but I'm going with a local company which should shave off a lot of the time the records spend in transit.

#2) At this point, all of your names + contact info will be released to me so I will be contacting some of you to ask how you'd like your name to be listed. Then, I will be compiling the liner notes and sending them off to press so that those of you who donated at the appropriate level will get your name in the record.

#3) We are going to package the records and sign them and put a bunch of cool stuff into them for you.

#4) Physical packages will be mailed (stickers, records, etc.) as soon as possible once the records are received. A conservative estimate is early March but this will probably happen a bit sooner.

#5) If you are one of the crazy people who donated at the 'custom song about you' level, I will be sending you a questionnaire which will be used to craft the lyrics and stuff. These might take a little bit longer, there are more of them than I expected (I expected 'none') and I don't want to rush them and make them crappy but rest assured you will have a high-quality tune about you by the end of March at the latest.

    Thanks everybody!

    Wow!

So, we made it to the goal pretty quick. Thank you! You guys killed it, I definitely didn't expect this to happen so fast, and I appreciate all of the support.

I wanted to get some logistical stuff out here for you guys who have donated already, and an important notice for those who hadn't.

FIRST: Kickstarter doesn't end these things early. So, the ability to pre-order these records will be open until Feb. 10th no matter what. Of course, I strongly encourage those of you haven't ordered to do so, and I want to reassure everybody that, no matter what, I'm not going to be creating more than 100 of this edition of the record. So rest assured that your exclusivity remains intact.

SECOND: In case you are curious about what is going to happen with donations that go above and beyond the goal, they will be used to make things even more rad. I'm looking into things like colored vinyl, picture discs, weird shapes, packaging options, and when February rolls around, we'll see where we're at. The donations will NOT be used to turn this into a run of 3,000 records, or for any non-LP related purpose. They WILL be used to make the records even more interesting and cool.

THIRD: Once things come to a close, I will be contacting all of you for your mailing addresses, etc. For those of you who donate/donated at the "custom song" level (which, to be honest, I honestly didn't think anybody would actually do), I will also be asking for exciting factoids and name pronounciations, etc. Please expect to get something like that soon after Feb. 10th

Okay, that's it, thanks again to everybody, and I look forward to making some really nice records for you all!
