    CD Signatures

    Hi, Everyone,

We didn't give you an update on shipping the CDs to you because we ran into a situation with signing them. We bought a special pen in advance that we thought would work on the high gloss CD jacket, but it didn't, so we bought another type of pen which we thought would do the job, but it didn't, then yet another... Finally, we've found a pen that doesn't just lay on the high gloss finish -- only to smear later -- but we still have to let the signatures dry for quite some time. We are so sorry for the delay, but we sure don't want to send you CDs with messed up signatures! And the high gloss is worth it because it makes every word on the jacket very legible which was a top priority with us in the jacket design. We'll update you all as soon as your CDs have been mailed and want to thank you yet again for your patience.

Disc Makers Completion Date March 12th

    Hi, Everyone,

Just wanted to let you know that Disc Makers told us the CD replication will be complete on March 12th. The CDs will be shipped to us then and we should receive them several days later. Leslie will be addressing the CD mailers in advance so we can send your "rewards" as soon as we get the shipment. Once again, thank you for your support and for your greatly appreciated patience. I must say that all the delays have only resulted in a better and better CD and I can't wait for you to hear it!

And we can't wait to hear it. Then play it for those we forwarded to but who didn't contribute so they will know what they missed. ;-)

        Hi Sarge,

        That's cutting it pretty close.

I'm planning to "kickstart" my campaign, for U.S. House Arizona District 6, with a kick-off party/fund-raiser March 18, and was planning to feature your CD for the music. Anyway, if you are not already booked, hope you and Leslie can make it, 1 pm to sundown, my house.

        [phone call]

Oops...just found out my felony convictions could be an impediment. It's a shame...all these people running for office without any convictions! Anyway, check my website in about a week (still under construction) for more info: www.peterwilson2012.org.

It's in the Hands of Disc Makers!

After working closely this week with our photographer/designer, Mark Miskill, we electronically submitted the artwork to Disc Makers just moments ago! Within the next fours days, Disc Makers will send us a PDF of the CD jacket to proof. As soon as we approve it, CD replication will begin. Earlier today Leslie mailed the CD master which should get to Disc Makers by Monday so everything is in order and in their hands! We will keep you closely posted on the expected date that we mail out the rewards. Tomorrow Leslie will send out Kickstarter "surveys" to request the info we need to mail out the rewards. Below is a picture of me and our designer and good friend, Mark, hard at work on the CD jacket. Mark did an awesome job -- wait 'til you see it!

A Final Mastering of the Master

After we proofed the master to make sure it's perfect for replication, we took it to another studio for a final step in the mastering. We had ISRCs (International Standard Recording Codes) encoded to protect our copyrights and track our royalty payments from radio play, etc.. We also had encoding added so the artist's name and song title appear for each track on CD players that display that kind of info. Although It took some extra time to finalize the master, we're sure our backers and our customers will appreciate the added feature. Next we'll proof the CD jacket artwork and printed material which should be completed by this weekend. We'll keep you posted. Thanks for your patience!

    We got to see Barrelhouse!

Last night Leslie and I went to the Rhythm Room blues bar to see Chicago blues player Barrelhouse Chuck play his piano with John Primer (Former Muddy Waters Guitarist). It was awesome! Barrelhouse plays on my new CD.

    Final Master is Done!

On Friday,  Leslie and I picked up the final mix of the Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Blues and on Monday we took it to Sonorous Mastering. We spent the day there with the master of mastering, Dave Shirk, who took the sound we were already thrilled with and turned it into 3D audio -- or at least that's the only way I can explain it! Below is a picture of me and Dave at Sonorous. It was a real pleasure working with him.
