Although we can't make specific promises at this early stage because we haven't yet made any contracts with developers, yes, we do want to standardize a developers kit to make it an easy conversion process from typical mobile games to the same games using augmented reality.

Posted project update #3The OggBlog and OggForum
Post CommentHey Everyone!
Due to popular demand we are rolling out a forum where supporters can gather together and evolve ideas to make the OggBoard system even better. We have already received many incredible ideas, some of which we will implement in the final product. We will also start a blog focused specifically on the OggBoard called the OggBlog (cute, isn't it?) and the progress it is making towards store shelves. Both of these should be live in the next week or two.
We also want everyone to know that we are discussing possible funding opportunities with investors- with or without a successful Kickstarter project. We have realized that having an entire OggBoard system developed with several games for several platforms will be more successful in the market place than an OggBoard with a single game for just iPhones.
Basically, this whole concept- this entirely new platform- has just begun. We are more serious now than ever before about transforming the future of board gaming as we know it.
If you have pledged, you will be automatically be put on a newsletter list (with the option to unsubscribe, of course) so that you can get all of the progress updates as they happen.
If you have resources or skills that you think would be beneficial to making the OggBoard continue to come to life, feel free to contact us. sam@oggboard.com or twitter @samuelllytle

"Can you imagine playing Battleship that way? That’d be sweet!" -Coolest Toys

The OggBoard has also been featured on-

Engadget Germany
Idea*Idea (Japan)

Computerra (Russia)
Please let me know if I missed one.
You may have also noticed a redesign of the Kickstarter page. The most prominent change is the new video that shows an actual demonstration of the OggBoard prototype. We hope this will better help people understand this new concept. We also shortened the text and included much of it in the FAQ section.
Thanks to all of those who have pledged and if you are still considering, send me a message and I will convince you that this is the best Kickstarter project you can get involved in.
Let your friends know as well, especially those who have pledged to Kickstarter before.

Posted project update #1Ogg's The Word
Post CommentWe're a few days into the OggBoard project now and the word is already spreading about the new possibilities the OggBoard would offer. Thanks for the great coverage these sites have given to the project. (Let me know if I missed one so that I can add it.)
Hopefully we will have some more to add to the list soon!
We are also working on getting a working prototype of the board and an updated video so that we can better explain this new concept.
