    Thank you friends!

    Hello friends.

I wanted to use this opportunity to sincerely thank you one last time for your show of support, for our project "Not Safe For Work".

To be honest, when the producers and I decided to bring this project to Kickstarter, I was hesitant. I anticipated a rough road ahead and frankly I was afraid to fail.  Our original budget proposal was larger…yes LARGER…which may not seem strange to most filmmakers, but due to the way I like to work and the small scale of my projects, I prefer to keep it cheap, usually paying for it myself, as the production progress's. Right before the launch we made significant cuts to the budget which lead us to our crowdfunding number of 14 grand and some odd dollars.

Before I brought this idea to my producers, I imagined a much smaller number, something I was confident I could find. But in the spirit of collaboration and interested in trying something new, I decided to go with a more comfortable budget to truly accommodate my cast, crew and producing team and give the opportunity to other friends to be a part of and support this project.

However, I still believe it is possible to make the movie for cheaper…and on the other side of this campaign now, I realize this will be the best way to go.

I now have a list of friends who are interested in supporting the film and who I hope will eagerly anticipate its completion. In the coming week, I will be sharing an additional way for you to help support the film both with a donation and additional resources.

The fact is, this movie is going to get made. Because when I set out to make a film, I do it. Because I can. Because the technology is cheap, the collaborators are intelligent and the supporters are sincere. My work has never relied on the things I don't have but On the things I do.

The internet is a zoo. Everything is look but don't touch. Often times, I feel like we are these caged animals with such better potential in the wilderness..the real world. (similiar to the way our films lead character might feel) Sometimes I feel like we are lost in the infinity of now, now, now. Instant access to everyone is the new loneliness. There were times when I felt as though I couldn't bother another E-soul about this campaign. There are real people with real problems who need real money and I have the privilege, and even the ego to ask you folks for a donation…its something I'm not sure sits right with me yet. But I know that art is important and so is making films that I feel need to go beyond surface level narrative and explore something deeper, some times darker, some times humorous, that lives within the realms of our souls…and I simply can't, nor want to, do that alone. So I am truly grateful for your support, and the continued support of my producing team and the films cast and crews and all other collaborators on the project. Your support, regardless of any crowdfunding goals, means that I have to be held accountable to make honest work for good, honest people and that inspires me.

Earlier this year, I dedicated myself to a new motto: Quit making your masterpiece and start making your movie. So the work continues!

Talk to you soon. Thank you!
