Posted project update #3We did it!!
If I owned a vuvuzela, you would hear my calls of excitement from any point in NE Florida. Thanks to your support and contribution to our project we will be able to fund our freshman EP “Sea Legs.” The $1,571 donated to us far exceeded our expectations and left us with a new enthusiasm for the project and our music. We’re grateful to have you among our friends and are eager to announce that the following will be funded by this Kickstarter campaign:
- 3 days recording with Parker Roberts (2 down, 1 to go!)
- Purchasing 500 hard-copy cd’s and cases
- Printing on 500 cases, cds and cd inserts
- Ability to give something back to our amazing artist Judith Gammons for her one-of-a-kind print contributions and a massive 9x12 ft. banner she painted for our live performances
- Purchasing buttons! We’re proud to say that everything you will receive through this Kickstarter has been as DIY as possible without compromising quality. Our fliers, t-shirts, many of the posters, buttons, the website, and more have all been designed and printed by our multi-talented drummer, Summer Wood. An incredible artist and close friend of the band, Judith Gammons, made one of the art prints offered. This has truly been a communal success. It’s like they say, "it takes a village to raise a band."
An unexpected third day in the studio has caused us to push back our release date from December to early January. Our release show is planned for (drumroll, please):
January 6th at Intuition Ale Works – 8:00 pm – 720 King Street, Jax Fl
If you donated $15 or more, please message us your shipping address. I will send a separate email to all of the donation levels whose gifts require specifications (i.e. tshirt size, cover song choices, bookings).
Our sincerest thanks for your support to Robin Rütenberg & Friends, we can’t wait to share our finished EP with you!

Post CommentI can't believe we're still in the first few weeks of our Kickstarter campaign and have already reached beyond our half-way mark! Thank you to everyone who has contributed to making this 4 song EP a success! The efforts from other parties has been inspiring and we appreciate not only the votes of confidence from those backing us financially, but also from everyone who is sharing our music and this project with their friends. We are excited to announce that we'll be hitting the studio in less than TWO days to record Sea Legs, making the full EP ready sometime in December!
Once again, this wouldn't be as successful or nearly as much fun without you, so thank you for taking part.
