RIDE WITH LARRY ENTERS POST PRODUCTION
Dear Kickstarter Supporters,
Ride with Larry has had an amazing journey thus far. We spent the last year following Larry, filming his remarkable story of courage, strength, and hope. We interviewed doctors and researchers seeking a cure, breaking new ground with genetics, and finding ways to improve the lives of those with Parkinson's. We documented the town of Vermillion, South Dakota, a community of big-hearted people who felt compelled to gather in support of this cause. And we couldn't have taken a single step without your generous support.
Today, Ride with Larry has reached a new milestone: Post Production. We have around 200 hours of remarkable footage waiting to be molded and crafted into a story that will touch the hearts of untold families, communities, and person's fighting their own battle with Parkinson's. In the last few months and in the months ahead we will be hard at work editing the film, doing the sound design, color correction, finding and creating music, and more.
We wish making a movie only needed the love and passion we have. Unfortunately, this monumental process requires additional funds, every step of the way.
While we have managed a tight budget and made what might amount to the biggest small budget documentary, we know that the costs ahead will stretch us beyond our means. We don't want to stop now!
Ride with Larry has launched a new Post Production fundraising campaign on IndieGoGo. A website that is Kickstarter in almost every way except that its not all-or-nothing. PHEW!
However, there are penalties if we don't meet our goal!
Our goal: $10,000 to help with our post production needs and to stave off any interruption in this forward momentum to seek additional funds. We know its a large sum in these hard economic times, but for a movie budget going into its final stages, it is very modest. We humbly ask one more time for your support.
If every person can donate at least $15, we will quickly surpass our goal.
Ride with Larry T-Shirts and Jerseys are also available as rewards. All donations are tax-deductible through the International Documentary Association (see below).

What the funds will be used for:
▪ The Editor
▪ Sound Designer
▪ Sound Mixer
▪ Music Licensing
▪ Festival Submission Fees
▪ And much more
Please take a few moments to share our new campaign www.indiegogo.com/ridewithlarry on Facebook, Twitter, Email, your Blog, and anywhere you can.
Thank you again for your continued support.
Sincerely,
Team Larry

Post CommentHello Supporters!
Just a quick update:
We have started to ship some of the items (t-shirts & jerseys) and some of you will have received these already. If you haven't received yours, we hope to fulfill the remaining t-shirt, jersey, and wristband orders and have them shipped by the end of September at the latest.
Some of you have been asking when the DVDs are going to be shipped. We're currently in production thanks to your kind support and expect the film to be completed in Summer 2012. We will be sure to keep you posted.
If you haven't already, be sure to follow us on Facebook for the latest Ride with Larry updates. There are also a lot of photos from Larry's ride this past June. Visit: http://www.facebook.com/ridewithlarry and click "Like."
