    HALFWAY TO THE FINISH LINE!

We're more than halfway to the end of the Kickstarter campaign and we wanted to update everyone on where we stand. We've exceeded our original goal by a substantial amount. We are extremely grateful to have been shown such intense support and we're trying to put the additional funds to the best possible use so that everyone feels they donated wisely. We've already added trips to Cleveland and Toronto which we're in the process of scheduling now. Contributions made over the past week have given us the opportunity to conduct at least 20 additional interviews with video luminaries. We are also mapping out possible post-production uses for funds that should improve the finished film considerably.

We cannot offer enough thanks for the contributions people have made whether it is by writing about the film, sharing the link through social networks, or donating financially. If we receive further backing in the remaining weeks you can rest assured that we'll be digging deep to find creative ways to maximize the use of our budget and make the film as richly compelling as we are able to. We're extremely proud to be telling this story and the level of enthusiasm people have expressed suggests we are on the right track.

    STAY TRUE!!!!

    100% in 112 Hours!

    Wow! This was unexpected.

We were initially concerned that 30 days might not be enough time to raise the funding we needed to finish the film. In a matter of 112 hours we reached our stated goal and during that brief period of time we were completely blown away by the wave of support directed towards this campaign. Thank you to everyone who contributed, either directly to the fundraiser or by getting the word out. We sincerely appreciate the kindness and generosity shown over the last few days.

This page will remain active until February 9th and at this point we are guaranteed all of the funding that has been pledged. We've already started to receive additional donations over our goal and we want to make something extremely clear to anyone interested in being a backer. All of the funding received will be used to make the most comprehensive and insightful documentary possible. If we raise another $2500 over our original goal we will add a trip to Toronto that we had previously cut to bring costs down. Any amount not needed for travel will be put into post-production costs we had planned to pay out of our own pockets. The campaign is already an undeniable victory and we are in a position to deliver a film that we'll be extremely proud of. We've been hearing from people who are still interested in being a part of the production so we just wanted to let everyone know that further contributions are still a possibility and that we WILL use them to add content to the film in a big way.

There is an Executive Producer credit left that could finance our Canadian expedition in one transaction. We still have one amazing original piece of art by Rob Rough that hasn't been purchased. We can't wait to finish this documentary and share it with those who have expressed a desire to see it. This has been a week we'll never forget.

    Analog power!!!!!

    Overwhelmed by the Love!

We are truly overwhelmed & incredibly grateful for the flood of support we have received in just one day! We have hit 55% of our goal in just 24 hours which is both amazing and heartwarming. Please keep spreading the word through your networks. We had no idea the support would be so passionate and so immediate.

This raises a question we hadn't realized we might need to answer...what if we go over our goal? 100% of funds raised, regardless of amount, will go to the production of the doc. If we get more than our original amount, we can add a trip to Toronto we were hoping to make, as well as pick up trips to interview people we missed the first time around. We would also be able to cover the costs of some post-production expenses we had planned to absorb ourselves.

Thank you all so much! Never forget!!!!

    Love,
    Team VHS
