hi guys! thanks for the warnings about indiegogo...I actually wrote them this morning. this is the 3rd time it's happened...they said would be watching, but it's been a while since the last one, so I guess they haven't been watching too closely. brook had to get on the phone with them last time--and he will again if it isn't taken care of soon! I do love how you guys are looking out for brook--we have the best backers ever!! thanks again!! :)

hi all--margie here. brook wanted me to let you guys know that the square nuts are NOT required! (i've been getting a number of emails on this part) hex nuts work ANY place the square nuts will work. he just liked the square ones. :) obviously there have been shortages, and we are working with the shippers, but i know that hex nuts are a lot easier to find (and cheaper)...so if those of you that are missing the square ones can help us out--that would be great. thanks to all for your continued patience!!

Greetings all! Brook here - to clear up the Power supply questions. Short Answer: 250 - 400 watt power supply is sufficient. A run of the mill ATX power supply is all you will need if you are buying one. More power isn't really necessary. Thick, beefy wire is what you want (and what I wish I had). The yellow and black wires are the ones you will be using. RE: power specs for everything I talked to Laine (electrical engineer and printrboard designer) last night (you can read part of the garbled transcription below @nate :) As best as Laine remembers from when we tested everything and took readings in my shop: -8x8 heater board - about 9 amps -6x6 heater board - about 6 amps - Ubis hot end - 2.5 amps - motors - about 1 amp TOTAL: around 12-13 amps when running a Printrbot Plus (about 10 amps for the Printrbot or LC So there you go - pretty modest requirements, really. Hope that helps and answers some questions. Brook

Greetings again to our faithful (and patient!) backers!
Watch the video for the latest news and info on a number of subjects...and this one is a little shorter than the last one!
Here is a link to the new instructions page on printrbot.com:

(we will continue to add more instructions/links to this page--especially build videos for the LC and the PLUS!)
Dropcam of Printbot HQ on 24/6 not Sundays
My wife mentioned that this kickstarter feels much like a marathon...and we're in those last 6 miles...definitely the toughest part--but ALMOST there!
Thanks for all your support!

Please update us about shipping state. How many are shipped yet? How many are shipped per week. When can we expect our printrbot plus?

ATX trick with the jumper is working, tested that this week. Just wire pin 13 and 14 and make sure that max current is not exceeded on each used power rail (e.g. 12V). There was one report of a overloaded power supply that blow the printrboard microprocessor. Maybe Brook can specify the power maximal power usage of each printrbot type / voltage

greetings all--this is margie, brook's wife. just wanted to jump in and say if you DO need an address change, please only send them to info@printrbot.com...NOT kickstarter mail. (and if you did send them to kickstarter--please resend to our mail) we understand things come up and changes are NEEDED--we're just trying to have the addresses be FINAL asap so there's no confusion for the shipping guys! :) thanks...if you do send any changes needed, i'll make sure to confirm with you. thanks again for all the support--it's been so great to see you guys sticking with us through this huge undertaking! and i don't think anyone could be more excited to see the last reward delivered than we are--cheers! :)

@Brennan, where would you like to start... maybe if you looked at the last half dozen updates from Brook for starters...? Posting that there has been "no information" is completely ridiculous and demonstrably false. If you haven't bothered to keep yourself updated that's your own fault - not anyone else.
if possible could you let us know the amount of kits that have been sent out by the next update? thanks
+1 on Justin's suggestion to put a graph up so people can keep track and see that something's happening. Not that Brook is reading this, but perhaps some of the flying monkeys can help.
