Posted project update #20We Are So Happy!
Post CommentDear Generous and Patient Backer,
The art work is shipping and will continue to be shipped. And the saatchi designed website is looking really cool! (see screen shot below) This whole project is growing so much more than we dreamed. It has made us very happy because so many people want to collaborate and help, like you. It is like a scene from a fairy tale where it all works out and there is a touch of magic or disbelief attached that makes it all the more real and wondrous. It is art from the beginning to the end, and you are a visionary patron. We thank you for that.
On the website, note the non-visible description of itself, a text by the designer which we love;

Private parties, European Tours
We can't wait to tell you about the upcoming exhibitions and productions in Europe and the U.S. We will save that for the next update because it is a lot to tell and even more is being finalized as we write this. We have only you to thank for everything, and the physical form of our grattitude is in the pictures of the title cards of the first art works being shipped. (Pictures below)
With love and thanks,
Praxis

Posted project update #18We love you, We have Good and Bad News, It's that Time of Year Again :)
Post Comment
Do you want the good or bad news first?
Let’s do the bad to get it over with. Some of the rewards, the conceptual works of art, may take another week to get to you, but they are being made and packaged as you read this. We have been waiting for a die to be cut for an embosser and final design work on that, which is part of the authentication letter.
The hand embosser that we waited for with our custom logo that will seal the letters of authenticity that comes with the art, looks super cool and was worth waiting for we think.
If that is the bad news, the good news must be pretty good, right?
It is. The good news is that the MONA launch party which was going to be in late 2011, is now something much, much, larger. Performance Space 122 in New York City is hosting the party and we have a yet-to-be-named venue that you have never been to you before, that you will absolutely love. The location is a secret for now, but the date is set for April 4th, 2012. We will tell you more details about the party soon, but there is more news- in 2013, we will have a major MONA exhibition in NYC that will be produced by Performance Space 122 and other collaborating institutions. It is incredible how many people have come forward to help us. We have a curator in Europe booking a tour of MONA next year, and so who knows, we may come to your city soon!
More amazing news is that the creative director, Tim Leake, at Saatchi and Saatchi has finished the logos for MONA, (at the top of this update) and also designed all the art works as well. For an agency that has a whole giant skyscraper in New York, we think the result is understated and elegant. One version of the MONA logo is below, but there is more to come, like the seal they designed for the embossment on the authentication form.
Here is a sneak peak at the website they designed, which is not live yet - with home page words describing a non-visible home page- http://www.nonvisiblemuseum.com/wordpress
Our new friends and board members of MONA have also helped us enormously in many ways. Rita and James from Science House are like shining stars in our firmament, as collectors and supporters, and Vallejo from Performance Space 122 with his patience and vision is enabling rapid growth of MONA, Doug Cooper for his advice and great writing on the manifesto, Tim Leake from Saatchi for his designs, and conceptual ideas, and all of you who have backed this project.
We have much more to tell you, but will save that for future updates.
We wish you all a very Merry, Happy, and Joyous holiday,

Posted project update #17You WIll Have Your Work Before Xmas!
Dear Backers,
The art work (rewards) is being shipped this week and next week, so thank you for waiting!!
It has taken a little longer than we thought, but as you know the design firm Saatchi and Saatchi did the design work for us including a new website which should be up soon, but since they have been doing all of this out of the kindness of their hearts and spare time, it happened a little later than we thought.
There is more news to tell you, but for now we want you to know that you will get yours in the mail (if you were a backer) before Christmas.
Thank you for your support, we remain,
Gratefully Yours,
Praxis

Me neither. How should I let you know my address?
Sorry, I guess it should be the address that's associated with my amazon account....
everyone should have gotten a survey, if you didn't, ask us, or it will be shipped to the amazon account related address!
