I am a blogger/filmmaker/writer/editor, I suppose. I love cinema and I work both sides of the screen. By day I am mired in the world of digital post production minutiae. By night, I run the candler blog, a film theory and criticism website.

    Planning, Snowpocalypse and Other Bits

Wow, thanks so much for helping out. Already at 19% after only 3 days is pretty awesome! Just wanted to offer a bit of an update. My SXSW schedule is coming together nicely. There is so much to choose from, it's very hard to choose where to focus my time. Here's what I've got so far, in feed form. This is by no means a finalized schedule, just hunting and pecking through the site for now. I'd love to hear suggestions of what you would like to read about.

If you aren't on the east coast, you may know there is an insane storm happening right now. After rain all week the snow started in yesterday and has not stopped. Below is a pic from my office. We can usually see the Empire State Building, but it's hiding from us now. I love the snow, but this getting ridiculous. It needs to stop so I can have snowball fights.

It's been a fairly busy blogging week. I recorded a podcast with Andrew Kippen from Boxee, which resulted in a really interesting discussion about on demand media. This morning I posted my Cop Out review. The film made me laugh til it hurt, but the rest of it just hurt. Anyway, thanks again for all of your support, and check back soon for the latest updates.
