Posted project update #7$63,007!! and 28 hours to go.
Post CommentThank you all very much for your generous pledges. We are feeling increasingly confident and hope you are too. Please spread the word and consider increasing your pledge so we can reach our goal and get on with building a beautiful exhibition.
The NYChildren Photography Project is about many things including building community, a quest and numbers. With that, if every one of our 229 backers, including you!!, increased their pledge by $30.57 we'd hit 70k and be on our way!!
Here are three photographs that will be part of the exhibit. Lola from Czech Republic in Brooklyn, Nur Azmina (with Mom) from Brunei in Manhattan and Mandisa from Botswana in Coney Island, Brooklyn.
Many thanks from the Park51 team!

Dear potential donor and already donor,
We just received the word that if we raise minimum $20,000 by Wednesday, August 10th, at midnight, we will receive the remainder of the missing sum from a private source.
We would thus like to ask you to help us raise the necessary difference - $9,300 by the quickly upcoming deadline.
Thank you for your time and effort. We truly appreciate it.
Best wishes,
Park51 Team

Post CommentThis 1 minute video features Toumani from Mali, a true prodigy on the djembe. From 2 years old he plays live and in recording studios with professional musicians. We are happy to share this video and hope you will share our kickstarter link with your friends via email, facebook, twitter, telephone, postcard, whisper, shout . . . http://kck.st/iP4un3 Mention how you support this project and encourage others. Thank you.

Wow!! I thought I had just not received my item because I moved across the country. But this is ridiculous! i feel conned. :-/ Not cool, guys.
Could you give me some indication of when the books will be complete? I'm not angry or resentful, I'm just curious, and need to know whether I need to change the address to which mine will be mailed: I move away from my current address on May 12.
any word on when the book will be sent out? 8 months is a bit of a long time....
