Posted project update #247x7 Sunday Drawing Rewards and New Book Progress
Hello again!
I'm going to start drawing the 7x7 Sunday style head sketch rewards in May. I'll be doing them each Sunday night at 9PM on my artcast: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/otis-frampton-live
You can watch your sketch being drawn live on the show, so watch my schedule to see when your sketch it coming up: http://otisframpton.typepad.com/otisframpton/2009/11/otis-frampton-live-video-schedule.html
For those of you who will be receiving these rewards, watch your e-mail inbox...I'll be asking you which character you would like me to draw.
I will be shipping all reward to each back when ALL of the rewards for that level are completed, so you may not receive the sketch in the mail immediately. I'm doing this to save money on all of my shipping costs, so I hope everyone understands. Thanks!
In other news, I've started working on the new Oddly Normal book (thanks to all of you!) and I'll be posting the first real update on the official website sometime next week. This update will show some a behind the scenes look at the production of one page from the new book. I have chose a page that is essentially the same in the new book as it was in the old book to show everyone what I mean by "same but different" and to show how the look of the series will be compared to the old one.
Thanks again for your generous contributions and I look forward to showing off some of the work I've been doing!

Posted project update #23Oddly Normal 2.0 Funded . . . What's Next?
Post CommentThank you all for making my Kickstarter campaign a success! How much of a success was it? Here are the final numbers...

There was a surge of new pledges in the final few days of the campaign, pushing the total well past $9000! Many thanks to Matt, Christine, Rhel, Bruce, Axel, Jessie, Ray, NN, Mika, Charles, Bruce, Cathy, Tracy, Chris, Daniel, Marina, Andre, Debra, Ashtara, Mindwarp Comics, Arik, Tim, Tawnly,Justin, Jennifer, Aaron, Jeff, Darren, Stephen, jayvs1, John, Miles, Michael, Veronika, Chazen, Vic, Daniel, Steven, Kelso, Matthew and Teik for their generous pledges!
Thanks also to Dan, Stormy, Miroatme, PJ, Harry, Christine, Janel, Heath_bar, Casey and Tom for increasing their pledges!
So...what's next?
Well, starting in March (after I finish up some freelance and commission work) I'll start work on the new "Oddly Normal" book full time. I'll be doing some of the work live on my Ustream artcast and will post a schedule for that work very soon.
I'll be organizing the list of rewards and start scheduling the production and distribution of them as soon as I can. For those receiving 7-7-Sunday style head sketches, I'll be contacting you and then scheduling them for a Ustream artcast so you can watch them being drawn live.
As for any non-Kickstarter "Oddly Normal" news...going forward all of that will be posted to the official website and not here: http://oddlynormalcomic.com/ If you'd like to follow along with the production of the book, that's the best place to visit.
Thanks again and I look forward to getting started on the book!

Posted project update #21Three Days To Go!
There are just three days left to the "Oddly Normal 2.0" Kickstarter campaign! I can't believe how fast the clock has run down. It really does feel like I was nervously launching this project yesterday.
I'd like to make one final push to get the word out about the campaign. I would ask everyone to please post a link to the project page on their Twitter, Facebook or blog pages: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/otisframpton/oddly-normal-20
Obviously I've already reached and exceeded my goal. I'm thrilled beyond words about that! But I'd love to get as many books into people's hands as possible.... and remember, if you pledge $25.00 or more you get a special printed copy of the final book!
Thanks in advance for spreading the word!
One last thing...on Tuesday (the last day of the campaign) at 9:00AM CST, I'll be doing a 3 hour webcast to count down the final hours. I'll be finishing the poster I've been working on and maybe showing off some roughs for new pages. I hope to see some of you in the Ustream chat room: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/otis-frampton-live
Thanks for everything, folks. This has been a great experience for me and I can't wait to start showing off my work on the new book!

Great, I like it.
Loving Oddly's house.
Looks great from some distance already. But I don't want to spoil myself with the story yet, so no closer look for me :)
