Posted project update #20Finally...
Hi Folks! Finally...an update! The road to e-commerce has been fun, crazy, interesting, a little stressful and enlightening on so many levels. The process of creating our web store has really forced me to delve deeply into selling our fresh flowers online and decide the best way to do so. The website has evolved into a completely different entity than I had originally imagined and I couldn't be more thrilled with it. Rather than being a web store with product SKU's and "search by occasion" it's more of a tiny boutique of what's fresh and available. I apologize if the repeated delays in getting this off the ground have inconvenienced anyone! I also want to take this opportunity for thanking Agnes Burkhart, Kim Grover and Debra Prinzing for their many shout-outs to, well, pretty much everyone they know, to promote my project.
So...without further rambling...I know you all want flowers! If you want to wait until the site is up to order online (for those of you getting a one time order or discount on an order), I am shooting next week to have it up. I'll be emailing each of you directly with a reminder of exactly what your "reward" is, as well as the coupon code you will enter into the online store to get your reward. Or, if you want to have flowers shipped before that, you can email me any time - beckydevlin@mac.com - and let me know where they are going and when, and I can tell you what is available and shipping that week. If you are local and want flowers for yourself or for local delivery to someone, you can email me anytime to get your flowers. You can always come by the farmer's market at Croc's on Saturday's between 8am-12pm and pick up whatever you like, also. For those of you who pledged at the $200 level to recieve 6 months of bouquets, I'll be contacting you directly so that you can designate which months you'd like them shipped (you don't have to tell me all at once) and to get your photos for the website.
Thank you all again for your support and your patience!
Becky

Posted project update #19They're coming...:)
Hi All,
First of all, a HUGE THANK YOU to all of you for supporting me and this crazy project! I was and still am touched by everyone's enthusiasm for my little farm.I wanted to update those of you who I haven't already chatted with on our time line. (Thanks, Pam, for reminding me!) Our flowers are just beginning to trickle into bloom - a little later than I had hoped thanks to a ridiculously wet fall and winter - with all fields threatening to burst into full bloom within the next 2-3 weeks. (I planned our crops for Farmer's Market opening this year. From here on out, we will be growing year-round!) I am still trudging along with the box design, also. The company I am working with is awesome and has sent me several "prototypes" to try out and now I am just working on a patent and the graphic design. In the meantime, I have ordered "stock" flower boxes (the same one all the others use) to get started.
So...I am planning to launch the site in the beginning of June and will be contacting you individually by email to get a bit of info and list you all on the site. I will also be collecting shirt size info and giving you all further info for how to get your flowers. If you pledged at the $200 level, I'll need a photo of you for our website, too.
Thanks!
