One Hello World

Syracuse, NY

Independent musician/composer who loves making music and meeting new people. I also hike, cook and spend time with my friends. Someday, I'd like to have a modest house (in a neighborhood with sidewalks), a dog (daschund-terrier mix) and the opportunity to travel the world playing music. Due to the nature of my project, I'm remaining anonymous.

    One Hello World on PostSecret

Many times, One Hello World has been compared to PostSecret (Paste Magazine has even called it "PostSecret for the ears.") Yesterday, OHW got to be a part of Frank Warren's internationally acclaimed project: the track "Movies When You Die" was included as part of December 17th's "Sunday Secrets". While my humble tumblog has garnered press and high profile shares in the past, this instance carries special meaning as in part, PostSecret was its initial inspiration.

For years, PostSecret has been receiving (and posting online) artfully composed postcards from people all over the world, sharing their stories. The result is a visually stunning and thought provoking collection. It's this anonymous, user-contributed format that has gave shape to One Hello World, allowing it the opportunity to similarly serve as an outlet for callers, but through a different medium.

A special thanks to Frank Warren for sharing a small corner of PostSecret with One Hello World. It's introduced the blog to a broader audience, filling the OHW inbox with new and inspiring accounts of the human experience.

You can check out PostSecret here (One Hello World is at the bottom of this post): http://www.postsecret.com/2011/12/sunday-secrets_17.html

And thank you to all of my new contributors as well as those who pledged from the start. If you haven't yet, please consider sharing our effort to produce an album that captures the voice of the world with your friends and family.

Updated the Blog; Highlighting the Project

I updated the OneHelloWorld.com theme to highlight the video from posted on Kickstarter. Have to thank my good friend Nick Barton (and his company Prestigious Films) for doing such an excellent job on the producing the spot. Here's hoping some more site visitors click through and back the project!

Big thanks to all of my early backers. It means a lot to me that you all were willing to show me some support at the very beginning of the fundraising.
