Posted project update #27Long Time Coming 1
So we know many of you have been waiting for some weeks to see the results. We have a couple notes for you.
1. 250 portraits is a lot! But we have done it and more.
2. We have launched the website, put up a slide show, launched the digital book, and debuted the project in an outdoor showing using 4' to 5' wide prints--complete with fireworks at the end of the night. (The fireworks were a nice coincidence, but don't tell). www.250people.com
3. Prints and a small cover preview book are available for sale on the site now. We are currently collecting information on the interest in the hardcover book to determine the most economical way to print.
Things progressing over the next couple weeks:
We will be adding data from the interviews collected during the shoots. You will see this by clicking on individual portraits. This will include quotes and in some cases audio.
We are seeking an additional gallery show of the project.
We are processing the surveys sent by backers to get gifts out the door.
We will be locking in the printing of the final hardcover book (and even adding MORE photos).

We have been cranking here. Almost 40 portraits completed, book quotes coming in, and the final date and space for the gallery show to be determined soon.
We have seen request for backer info come in as well...and will get to sending out backer gifts that are available prior to project completion very soon.

I'm really disappointed in the chocolate shipment. It was shipped during the warm spell last week, so the cheap Hershey's kisses had melted and run onto the postcard, so that none of it was usable.
I didn't really need more chocolate in my diet, but if you're going to promise something, you need to deliver on it. I'm glad you reached your goal and all. I hope the other "prizes" came out better than this one.
