        Hi Mike,
That is indeed unfortunate; but as you have indicated, quality is more important than timing. I'm happy to wait a little longer to see the finished product in all its 3D awesomeness :D
I hope everything goes well for you this time.

        Merry Christmas!

    Start the presses!

    You are awesome!

Thanks to the amazing support of all of the project backers, it's looking like I'm going to hit the funding goal for this book! As of right now I'm not at 100% yet, but if 11 more people get books in the next four days we will be set! Thanks for your contribution, I couldn't have gotten this far without your support.

Christmas, Hanukkah and Festivus are just around the corner!

I'm sure that all of your holiday shopping is done, but if you know someone who is still looking for the perfect gift for that hard to shop for person, please tell them about my book! I've added options to the project page to order more than one book. If you'd like to order additional copies you can increase your pledge and select a different level of reward (for more books).

As I've been sharing samples of the book, I've been struck by how social people become as they are experiencing the images. I really imagine that this will be the kind of book that gets passed around the living room or starts conversations at parties. The book will be delivered by Christmas because...

And the best update of all…

Being so close to the goal and because I want everyone to get their books in time for Christmas, I decided to go ahead and give the thumbs up to my printer to begin work on producing the 2,500 copies that I've ordered for the first edition (of many, I hope!). I've been documenting the process of creating the book. Here's the progress so far:

The first items off the press were the covers. On the right you will see them getting the title and spine getting foil stamped onto the covers, they start on top and the finished ones are below. The silver text on the black background looks fantastic, I can't wait for you to see it.

Here you see the pages hot off the press! The large machine in the back is the 4 color offset printing press. Now the book is off to the bindery! I'll keep you updated!

    New Facebook Page

I've started a new Facebook page for the book:

    http://www.facebook.com/FlowerPortraits

If you go to the link, and "Like" it, then you will see any small updates that I share pop up in your newsfeed. It's also a great way to share and recommend this project to your friends. If you are friends with someone who would love to know about this project, please tell them!

The funding goal that I've set on Kickstarter is only part of the total cost of producing this book, any funds beyond my Kickstarter goal still go towards covering the cost of printing. I appreciate all of your support- as I like to say, "Every pixel counts!"
