Posted project update #8Sorry guys, this campaign was a failure.
Hello everyone,
Unfortunately, this campaign was a failure. I tried to make it work out but the cost it takes to produce a model kit is just a little too high, especially in this economy.
I did learn a lot through this process and I'm almost glad this failed because I'm moving forward with a related project that I think people will love. I'm really grateful to the 5 backers who decided to help us. Jerome, Sean, DisOrd3r, Patrick and I6D9ISixxEcho. You guys are awesome, Thank you. I would love to send you all a FREE Mini Drake figurine for trying to Support us if you'd like one. We really appreciate it. Please send me your address through Kickstarter and I will get them out to you once we have them ready.
I'm going to be launching some projects that I think will be more successful thanks to what I learned on this campaign. I'm sorry this did not work out but I'm excited to move onto the next project. Thanks again for all the comments and tweets and for "liking" the project on Facebook. Also a big thanks to Ben Reeves from Gameinformer.com for helping me spread the word. One last big Thanks to the team, Jeff, Randy, Jeremy and Fritz you guys are all awesome friends. I will post an update of the finished Drake as soon as they are done. as well as info for the next project. Thanks again everyone, this was fun - Mike

Post CommentI've come up with the pledge rewards to get a little Mini Drake figurine. I have added 5 pledge levels which include Figurines. If you pledge $410.00 or above you can pick a free figurine of your choice.
If you are already backing the project below the $410.00 level and want a little figurine then please contact me and let me know which one you want. I will give you the price of the figurine minus the shipping.Here are my plans for the package if this gets funded.
And here is where Jeff is at with the Art right now.
I should have pictures of what the complete Figurines will look like a day or two before the kickstarter ends. Jeremy is working on the Molds and Casts for a few now. Thanks for looking.

Im all finished sculpting the little 2" mini version of Drake for my Kickstarter campaign. I'm really happy with the way he turned out and I hope he helps encourage some new pledges to get this thing funded.
I sculpted him using Super Sculpey and total time was around 15 hours from design to finished sculpt. Now he's off to Jeremy to get molded and cast up for Randy to paint. This little guy is going to look awesome once Jeremy's done and Randy paints him. It's tough to photograph this pink Sculpey and you lose so much of the detail. Once Randy highlights all the details this little guy is going to scream cool! Also, once Jeremy gets the other variant figurines cast including the Glow-in-the-Dark version. I'll be sure to upload the pics.
I'm still talking to Jeremy and Randy about how much it's going to cost to get these guys made and will have details posted as soon as I get some more information.
I wonder what a variant zombie version of little Drake would look like... hhhmmmm....

Made some more progress on the mini 2" version of Drake. I've added his boots his satchel and his gun holster. I also worked on the eye's and prepared the arms for sculpting by cutting off the parts that got baked before I wanted them to. After applying a smidgen of petroleum jelly to the cured shoulders his arms are ready to be shaped.
