Posted project update #15Watch SNOWBALL online! Ditzy INTERVIEW at Hamptons! DVDs to come...
Post CommentHey guys!
I know I promised DVDs to backers and I don't want you thinking I've forgotten. But since we're still in the midst of our festival run, we haven't designed the DVD art yet. Once we've been in a few more festivals (and can then add their laurels to our packaging) it will be a good time to do a mailing. I'm hoping that will happen toward the end of this year.
Meanwhile, if you want to see the film, here it is online! Shhhh...

In other big news, I'm headed to Paris for three months to make my next film at La FEMIS, the government film school. I'll be directing a short film on a professional sound stage (old Pathe studios!) and working with a French crew, ooh la la. In the meantime, check out this terribly embarrassing interview I did at the Hamptons:

Disclaimer: as I recall this was conducted after a couple of cocktails at the NYWIFT brunch. Obviously I am better suited to being behind the camera. :)
Thank you again for all of your support!

Posted project update #14A California premiere for SNOWBALL!
Post CommentHappy New Year everyone!
I know it's been a little while since I've sent any updates, but the last few months have been fairly quiet on the SNOWBALL front.
Then last night I got some news about our favorite little (chubby) goat. The film has just been accepted to the NEWPORT BEACH FILM FESTIVAL, taking place April 26-May 3. This will be our California premiere and I couldn't be happier.
First the Hamptons, now Newport Beach... seems goats like holiday destinations. Wonder where we'll go next? Something tells me there will be sand and surf. Stay tuned!
Love and affectionate head butts,
MaryPS -- I recently directed another short film, called PIECES, written and produced by my friend Jamie Askew. We just wrapped that shoot last week and will be starting a campaign to raise funds for the post-production. I have high hopes for this new film and if anyone is interested in knowing more about it please contact me and we'll add you to the PIECES email list.

I am delighted to announce that SNOWBALL has been selected for the Hamptons International Film Festival. The film will be screening on Sunday October 16th at 2:45pm as part of the New York Women in Film and Television showcase at the East Hampton Regal Theatre in East Hampton, NY. The screening will be followed by a filmmaker Q+A.
This is an incredible opportunity for exposure, and we hope it's just the beginning of SNOWBALL's adventures on the festival circuit. If you're in the Long Island, NY area please join us! Tickets go on sale Friday Sept 30th.
Lots of love and thanks to YOU!
xoxo,
Mary and the SNOWBALL team
