If you still want to back us...

It is only days before Damaged Goods becomes a reality. Hell itself cannot stop us... but you only have one more chance to help.

We have enough to film Damaged Goods. We have enough to rent equipment, feed people, get locations, etc. Here's the thing: we set out to do this project with the notion that our crew will get rates they deserve if we reach our goal. When you go from 98 backers down to 3 backers on a project, you've gotta expect some cuts. Nothing hurts us more than having fallen short on crew rates and having to ask people to come in for pennies (or less). Since a lot of you have expressed interest in helping to fund us even though our kickstarter project was unsuccessful, we'd like to give you another chance to donate and help.

Below is a link to our PayPal account, which will let you contribute any amount you wish to Damaged Goods. These funds will go directly towards the cast and crew of Damaged Goods- all of the hardworking people that have been and will be busting their asses to get this done. The absolute cutoff for donations is Saturday, May 5th- since we will be filming then ;)

LINKDONATE TO DAMAGED GOODS via PAYPAL

So, if you'd still like to help and you're able to put down what you pledged before- please consider helping us to pay our cast & crew what they're worth. Donate $100 or more... we'll give you the gifts listed in our pledge tiers AND an exclusive preview of the monsters we've created.

Thank you all for your support. Because of you, we begin filming our dream project one week from today. Please keep in touch, and keep your eyes peeled for the RELEASE of the video shortly :)

    Cool Things Are Happening.

Thought you all should know where we're at right now... it's really exciting and we're dying to share it with you.

Beginning April 2-4th, we'll be working with George Troester and Paradox Reality FX as they delve into the lifecasting (mold making) of our demons for the first Damaged Goods webisode. This is a massive undertaking, and has us drooling with anticipation. We've invested a lot of planning into these demons, and the best part is that we're going to be able to reproduce them as good as, if not BETTER than, we had envisioned... head to toe coverage and truly original demonic visages. We will have molds made of the actors' heads, hands, feet, and even their teeth. There's a few more exciting goodies we get to throw in, but we can't post too many spoilers ;) Needless to say, Chris and I are actually becoming a little frightened at the prospect of having to stand face-to-face with these monsters... we won't have to act afraid. These things are creep-tastic.

Next, in mid-April (@the 21st), we plan to do a complete makeup test run, giving us a chance to see our hideous creations in their full glory. After that, there isn't much standing in the way of our filming.

In the meantime, we're going to film the behind-the-scenes of our monster creation, so you all can get a glimpse of what it takes to summon a demon. It would be wise for you to Subscribe to the MAD CHOPS MEDIA YOUTUBE PAGE so you can catch the videos as we release them. Just sayin'.

Thank you all for your continued support, we look forward to showering you in fear and laughter.

Damaged Goods; Creators Officially Strike Deal for Their Souls

Hey people... guess what? We're still going to film it!!! Just a few more t's to cross and i's to poke out. We're still aiming to shoot at the end of March 2012, after Chris returns from his birthday trip to New Orleans. His bday is March 17th. He's turning 150. I'm not sure what that is in Yeti-years.

Some people are still reaching out to us to ask if they can donate, even though the project is expired. Some people have asked if they may still give us the donations they pledged while the project was live. Damnit, we love you people. Thank you.

Well people, if you are interested, if you do want to support this project even in its kickstarter afterlife, please send us a direct message at:

    madchopsmedia@gmail.com

Also, if you're not following us on Twitter or haven't subscribed to our YouTube page, how do you expect to see all the new stuff we're about to release? Carrier pigeons tweet, but it's not the same. Please follow and subscribe to this stuff!

We haven't forgotten about the 96 of you. Please feel free to talk to us, ask us about what we're up to, and so on. You all believed in us, even though we are obviously deranged lunatics. Stay tuned.

THE FINAL MOMENTS... and a HUGE incentive...

We've got less than 24 hours left, and we NEED to close that gap. As of this message, we've crossed the $12,000 mark! So close! So one of our good friends made a proposition to us, and to YOU.

Anyone who increases their pledge, or adds a new donation to our project in the final 24 hours will get FREE INTERNET MARKETING SERVICES to match your donation. Take a look at this page and see what this might mean for you, your business, your band, your project, or your friends' stuff:

    http://onqny.com/store

Yeah, you read that correctly, add $45 to your pledge and you can get 500 YouTube subscribers. For $200 you can get a 1-month Social Bookmarking Campaign for your website, directing thousands more people to your website or videos. It's pretty unreal when you think about it...

So if you add to your pledge, or someone you know contributes, or you're a newcomer, now you've got some real incentive.

Please help us go that extra mile!!! Tweet about it! Mention us on FB! And if you think you can handle the wackiness, join us for our final stretch in the last few hours as we give you the final installment of our live streaming #DemonHunters Telethon (see previous updates for details).

    THANK YOU ALL!!!

UStream, I Stream, We All Stream For DAMAGED GOODS!

***Our Fundraising Campaign is in its FINAL DAYS!***

Our mission was to create a fully fan-funded series that leads up to something greater. The people have spoken. We’ve raised several thousand dollars in our efforts to launch this monster. We’ve gained thousands of new fans and friends who are interested in seeing this supernatural dark comedy series go from the web to television. We’ve received recognition from dozens of media outlets, participated in the most ridiculous interviews you’ve ever seen, and we’ve had social media support from celebrities and award-winning filmmakers alike. It’s all building up to something, and what better way for us to express exactly what that is than to offer you this:

Monday through Thursday, each day, from 12pm-4pm Pacific Time,

Chris Buch and Jacob Voelzke will be streaming live from UStream

to engage with anyone and everyone who wants to discuss

the future, past, and present of DAMAGED GOODS.

JOIN US HERE >>> Mad Chops Media on UStream

During these events, you will be able to see us in our natural habitats on live video and chat with us in real-time about anything you want. We’ll be taking requests, playing our videos and unreleased behind-the-scenes footage, discussing the ins and outs of the Damaged Goods series as a whole, mentioning and playing works done by the people we’ve selected as our crew, we’ll be collecting information from viewers for later on when we’re casting people interested in roles for the series, cross-promoting businesses and artists that have helped us climb this ladder of dreams, orchestrating flash-mob style Twitter and Facebook assaults, we’ll introduce you to our cats, show you Chris’ baby pictures from when he was an infant Yeti, and of course, just sit around and chat about nonsense.

We need you in these final days. Our project is 100% fan-funded and we want to keep it that way. Only with your support and donations can Damaged Goods be possible and remain completely in control of the fans and creators who want to keep it intact. Imagine if Twin Peaks could have used crowdfunding to continue the series instead of being devoured by the network suits! Or Firefly! Or Farscape! Or Arrested Development! Or dozens more! Nothing makes us happier than knowing our friends, family, and fans get to be just as much a part of this as we do. We love you guys. Hope to see you there.

    -Jacob Voelzke and Chris Buch
