Posted project update #3A Big Thank You to All Involved and some free goods to pass the time
Post CommentWe wanted to again thank everyone involved in making the Vieo Abiungo and Pete Monro CD/DVD a huge success.
We are in the process of having this project produced. At this point, we are hopeful that it will be released in late March/ early April. Of course, everyone who contributed at the $10 or more level will receive a digital copy of the album a week before the official release date.
Plus, we are working on the finishing touches for Kickstarter Exclusive 6-Track EP. By all the early previews we've heard, it should end up being quite an amazing bit of music in itself. We will provide everyone involved with a digital copy of that as soon as it is ready (Hopefully by late February).
We are waiting until Thunder May Have Ruined the Moment is a bit closer to its release date before we ask for everyone's email and mailing address. We know sometimes addresses can change, so we want to make sure we send it to the right one.
In the meantime, here are a couple of freebies for you to listen to. One, is the B-Sides album from Vieo Abiungo's album, And the World is Still Yawning from last year. It is available as a free download here, http://vieo.albm.fm . Some of you may already have this one. It is ten tracks worth of truly beautiful and original music from William Ryan Fritch. So if you haven't heard it yet, we highly recommend downloading it!
There is also a free download of the track "Thundering of Empty Promise" from the upcoming CD/DVD project available on our Bandcamp page here, Free Download.
We will be in touch soon with more information as we have it. We can't thank everyone enough for all the time and effort you have put into helping us reach our goal and funding this project. It is very encouraging to see and hear that people really enjoy the music Lost Tribe Sound and our Artists are creating! We hope to have more of these Kickstarters in the future as it seems to be a real personal and creative way to share upcoming projects with our fans.
Also, for those who may have missed the deadline to pre-order the Vieo Abiungo and Pete Monro CD/DVD through Kickstarter, please keep an eye out for it on our website. It will again become available for pre-order sometime in the month of February 2012!

We wanted to Thank everyone involved in making the Vieo Abiungo & Pete Monro CD/DVD project a success on Kickstarter. It is amazing the amount of love and support this project has already received. We are very excited to share it with you!
We made our funding goal before January 12th, which means everyone that has and continues to contribute $1 or more will receive a digital download of the Kickstarter Exclusive 5-track EP.
Plus, we have an amazing bonus film that director Pete Monro is working on finishing. It will contain some CGI, two beautiful professional dancers, and an incredible new take on dance, all set to the music of Vieo Abiungo. Any money we raise above and beyond our goal will go directly to making this film as amazing as possible. So, please continue to spread the word. All who have contributed at the $20+ level will receive a copy of this bonus film, and it will not be appearing on the DVD.
Also to sweeten the pot, for every 25% we raise above our original goal of $2500, Vieo Abiungo will create another bonus track to add to the Kickstarter Exclusive Digital EP. Pretty good deal!
And finally listen to another bonus track we have posted today called "Rust Cries from the Movement". This is one of the bonus tracks available at the $15+ pledge level.

We wanted seriously thanks those who have contributed so far!Post CommentIf we can raise the entire amount for this project by January 12th, 2012, Vieo Abiungo will put together a separate and absolutely Exclusive Kickstarter Digital EP. This will be available to all who have contributed to dateSo, in 10 days from now if we can hit our goal, it will mean a free 5 track EP for everyone, even if you can only contribute $1 or more!
I'm sure many of you have let others know about our project which means a great deal to us. Any help posting to blogs, facebook, tumblr, etc would be a beautiful thing.
Plus, we can't even begin to explain how absolutely amazing the music, film, and artwork for this album is going to be. Thunder May Have Ruined the Moment is Vieo Abiungo's most focused, hushed, and well-composed work to date. Many of the more ambient style works are given much more of a voice and space to breath and unfold. The rhythmic side of the album immediately commands attention, and draws upon whatever ancient source of inspiration and absolute goodness William Ryan's brain must float around in.
To explore the films with words wouldn't do them much justice. Filmmaker Pete Monro has constructed a visually mind melting set of films. The title film is a 14-minute living breathing collage; complete with alternate renditions of songs from the CD material, along with a ton of music that was made exclusively for the film. I am an artist, musician, and the co-owner of Lost Tribe Sound, a record label based out of Scottsdale, Arizona. Lost Tribe Sound started in early 2010 and we are now on our ninth release. I love spending time with my wife, Kay, and our daughter, Emmalyn. I am also a geek for antiques, most fantasy books and films, and rustic/organic design in anything.
Fine art takes time. I do not mind the wait. Thanks for the update. I appreciate the effort and work you've all had to put into this creation. Art is very much like life in that regard; we have evolved with planning and organizing (to a point), then the magic of chaos steps in every once in a while.
