Posted project update #4Thanks for your help
Post CommentOur "Someone for a Moment" project is in the final hours of raising funds. A respectable amount was raised and it's pleasing to have had such substantial individual pledges. The majority of you pledged over the pledge amount you selected for that reward. A few of you, I don't think I know. It's wonderful you would try to support my efforts. Unfortunately, we will fall short of our funding goal and you will not be charged. Kickstarter or Amazon will likely confirm this in a separate email. A couple of you I have been in direct contact with and I already know you do want a framed print and I will continue to work directly with you. If anyone else is interested, starting January 1, 2012, prints and framed prints can be purchased directly from our website at www.lookcreative.com.
This is a wonderful project and I will continue to raise funds on my own through print sales. As prints sell, the funds will be used for this project so I can complete the work. It may take a little longer but I will create this work and it will be donated to a hospital. My goal is staying the same, to expose families and individuals to this work so it can help motivate them to become positive, inspiring people. The prints and eventually the large donated work will accomplish this goal.
In the short term, I will be discussing a similar project with the Children's Hospital of Milwaukee. I may have the opportunity to work with the children to help create a work of their own. They will each create a small section that will make up a larger image for permanent display.
Thanks again for your time and interest in supporting this project. Even though this Kickstarter project will not successfully raise our funds, I have some extra experience and confidence moving forward.

Posted project update #3New FAMILY PLEDGE Level Reward Added
Post CommentWe've added a new family pledge level reward. When you select that pledge level you will receive up to 6 (six), 2-by-2-inch sections for your family to draw together. Each of you can have your own and you'll be able to spend some memorable time together helping to create this work. We will install all family's pieces together. We have a reserve of sections so none of the pieces will be diagonal or scattered. I realized this is what this project is all about, bringing families together, so after some figuring I was able to add this as a pledge level. A couple of you already selected the $35 pledge level but gave more. I am pleased to tell you, you will now be receiving the new family pledge level. You will not need to make any changes and have automatically been added. We've adjusted the quantities to allow you to receive the upgraded reward. Everyone can upgrade their pledge amount if they would like to include the whole family. It will even help us successfully fund this project. Thanks again for all your support!

Posted project update #2Good progress yesterday, WCUB this morning.
Our timeline passed the half way point a few days ago and yesterday was a great day. Thank you very much to all the new backers. There's not much time left but a lot can happen quickly. WCUB has also welcomed us to "The Breakfast Club" this morning at 9:30. If you're in the broadcast area, listen in while I talk about the project. I'm getting all dressed up so I look good for the show!

I have a project underway that has also affected me deeply. I don't know if mine will be funded but I do know that it is already a success. It's shown me that many people believe in what I do. I hope you make your funding and I hope you can bring more passion to the people around you. Keep on fighting!

Posted project update #1Early Success
Post CommentIt's the early stages of our project but I'm excited about the support you've given me. If just a little extra interest is shown in the project it will be given additional exposure and be visible to more people to help it along. If there is anyone you think may be interested, please let them know about it. We all have a little artist in us and this is a way to permanently have your work on display and helping families! I really want this to happen, it's unique in many ways! The final installed work will be very powerful!
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Posted project update #3Project will relaunch today.
Post CommentWe've made some adjustments to allow this project to be a success. The major change was to eliminate my drawing and focus on the collaboration drawings you will be creating. That's the goal of this project but if you pledge more, I may be able to create and donate my own drawing. The project will relaunch today before the end of the day.

Posted project update #2Give a pledge as a gift for Christmas
Post CommentWe have decided to give you the opportunity to back our project as a gift to someone for Christmas. As we approach Christmas, we will post a printable gift card on our website lookcreative.com. The card will briefly describe the gift you've given and how the pledge supports our efforts. Once our project is funded, we will request the name you would like us to use for the pledge level. This way, even though the reward will not be available yet, you'll still be able to offer the gift in their name.
It's very early yet, but thank you to everyone who has taken the time to see what our project is about.

Posted project update #1More Early Success
Post CommentOur framed print donated to the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin that honors Cooper Beaupre sold at the "Bids for Kids" silent auction on November 9th. The artwork helped the auction to raise more than last year. It's a wonderful feeling to support such an important fundraiser
