Posted project update #5I present to you... my NEW AND IMPROVED models!
Post Comment
I even went back to the designs and made sure that they still fit and flatter accordingly. And they do! I put some of the pictures in the description. I used paper dolls so you'd know if I cheated and went inside the lines.
{I love paper dolls. I always have. When I was a little girl and I had paper dolls, I'd design them their own clothes.}
I'm still very excited about this line. I hope that you are, too.
Love,
Liz

Posted project update #4The Swatches Are Ordered
Post Comment
I ordered swatches for the two fabrics that will need to be printed. I couldn't decide exactly what fabric I wanted for the floral print dresses. I ordered two different ones to compare stretch, flow and durability. Then I ordered the blue stripes. I need the stripes to be certain widths because of fit and flatter for different body types. Otherwise I would just go pick up some inexpensive striped cotton/jersey material.
The rest of the dresses have easy to find colors. I'll be hanging out at fabric stores a lot until I can decide exactly what material I need. It would really help if I had a mannequin, though. :D No pressure.
That's all for now. When I get all the swatches together, I will take pictures and get them uploaded.
Thanks again for all of your love and support!
Question: Would you like to see a few of the designs on plus-size illustrations? If it would be helpful, I wouldn't mind working that out for you.

Posted project update #3Like The Turtle
Post CommentThis might be too soon, but I already have inspiration for my fall/winter line. I just can't help myself. It's what I do.
Next week I'm going to get swatches printed of the fabric that I need to special order from spoonflower for my Spring/Summer line. Unless, does anyone know of a local fabric printer in Nashville that could print up some swatches? I have to go to Textile Fabrics in Nashville to get some swatches of already made fabric anyway. I'll be sure to share them all with you here as soon as I get them.
Slow and steady wins the race, right? Thanks to the backers and the "share"ers and all of you fabulous people that are showing your support. I love you for it.

Posted project update #2More of my designs...
Post CommentThere are some in the video, but I thought you'd like to see the entire Spring/Summer line. So, this is basically a flip through of my design portfolio that shows every piece in this order: Hourglass, Pear, Boy, Column, Apple.
(To learn more about body types, dressing for those body types and how I try to fit and flatter every body type, you can visit http://lizkzook.wordpress.com/do-it-yourself/)
