It's humid, and we did yardwork today. With that in mind, we felt like it'd be nicer to give you an audio demo tonight as opposed to a video demo. :)
This is "Sum of Me", a song inspired by Alece Ronzino and this post that she wrote. As I read her words, I found myself singing them in my head, and I couldn't wait to get it down on paper.
I hope, as you listen to this song, you'll know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that you're all He wants...the sum of you...the good and the bad...the grit and the glory.
And that you're just enough. You're exactly what He's wanting. :)

I had hoped to get this demo out to you earlier, but crazy work schedules and Strep Throat have made it a little difficult. Nonetheless, I'm excited to share this song with you!
Brittani (co-writer of Little Lights) and I have talked about the fact that writing music feels more like discovering than creating. I've heard authors speak of this phenomenon, as well. Sometimes, a song (or a poem or a story) simply comes to you. Without hardly any work or effort, you've all of a sudden got a complete work of art to share with others.
That's how it was with Everything Changes. Mike and I were sitting in the living room one night, and we decided to play around a bit. He started strumming this chord progression, and the melody and lyrics simply came to me. In less than 15 minutes, we had been given a complete song to share with others.
We hope you like it!
