How Artist Ingrid Alvarez Made The Most of Her Residence

During her many weeks in Alaska Ingrid Alvarez documented her experience and shared the images on Facebook. You can follow Ingrid's journey in the following albums:Album 1 Album 2 Album 3
She was an artist who truly took advantage of all Alaska has to offer, then went back Brooklyn and used what she learned and experienced to become an involved member of the community who teaches, studies and shares her life with others.

The Talkeetna Roadhouse comes out in favor of the Alaskan Artist Residence

Trisha at the Roadhouse here...can't say enough about how much I dig the concept of the artist residence. Talkeetna is such an inspirational place to be. Having an artist residence in our community not allows artist a beautiful and inspiring destination, but in turn benefits the community. These folks volunteer, patronize our businesses (... See Moreespecially noticeable in the winter!) and add their artsy selves to our already very creative culture. More, more! Love it! Thanks and good luck, La Familia...
