FYI - This coming Wednesday evening and Sunday morning will be the last chances for all the Campbellites who pre-ordered to pick up your copies of "Gone Forever" directly from me at the church. We'll be leaving town the following week. I will be happy to leave any pre-paid copies-not-claimed at the church with your names on them, but I would prefer to have as many of them picked up as possible! Please get with me ASAP if you'd like to make another arrangement.
All you long distance folks, expect packages veddyveddy soon :-)

Post CommentHi friends! Just checking in to let you know how incredibly close this project is to completion. We're working on the third and hopefully the final mix, and it's almost spot on! You are going to be amazed at how this turned out. Heck, I'm amazed at how this turned out! Thanks again for the blessing of your support. Prepare to not be disappointed. In the slightest. :-)

Post CommentHi friends! We're so very, very close! Almost all of the instrumentation is done. This evening, I will be in the studio adding any final touches we can come up with, and then the mixing process will begin. Backers who have elected to prescreen, watch your inbox for updates and rough mixes. In the meantime, everyone can get a few snippets of "Gone Forever" delight over on YouTube.... just click through to video.korywilcox.com and check out some of what's been going on in the studio. I'll keep you posted on our progress.

Post CommentHi friends - just a quick update. We're at a kind-of stall with the bass recording - it's a timing thing at the moment. Plans are to have it done this week. However, the good news is that almost everything else is done. Besides bass, I have one little trumpet part and one little flute part to get down, and about two more keyboard fillers. The big work - the piano, vocal, guitar, and percussion - is 100% complete. I'm delighted with how everything is sounding so far, especially considering how quickly we've been able to pull it together. The current delay should not set the project back very far, but with Haiti in the mix, there's a chance I may not be able to get the CDs into your hands until July. I'll keep you posted! Thanks for your support and for hanging in there with me!

Post CommentHey backers! Watch the Rev. Andy B and family making a guest appearance in the studio at http://video.korywilcox.com... we're getting close now, friends! Only a few more components remain until we can start mixing and mastering this project!
If you haven't heard, there's a FREE Kory Wilcox concert planned on June 18th at 7pm at Campbell UMC in Springfield, MO. I can't promise a completed project CD for that date (I'd hate to rush things), but I WILL be performing several songs from the album, so, think of it as "Gone Forever: LIVE!"

Post CommentHi everyone! I'm pleased to let you know that the recording process has officially begun! Actually, some of the piano work is already done. I will be spending several more nights in the studio this week and next, and I am obliged to ask for a shower of prayer and blessing as I set out to get this done on time and with utmost skill. Not perfection, I'm sure, but we're always reaching, right? Thank you all so much for making this project happen!
If I haven't sent you a 'backer survey' yet, or if you haven't responded yet (especially for you upper tier contributors), please at the very least let me know how many CDs you actually will be wanting so I can get an accurate count for pressing.
Also, $75 and up backers, please let me know if you are indeed interested in sitting in on a studio session! Time is of the essence!
