Posted project update #11Over The River and Through The Woods...
Post CommentTo record our album we gooooooooo!
Tonight we leave to head up to Leopard Studio in Stone Ridge, NY to begin recording the album and mockrockdocumentary. I (Killy) am wedged firmly between excitement and anxiety. So far, it feels about like water boarding which actually SOUNDS fun but is torture. This album is like KTB's baby. Our freakish, loud, hard drinking, chain smoking baby. I am the overprotective mother...and the boys are like QUIT CALLING IT A BABY KILLY, THAT IS WEIRD. I am having a breakdown every half hour or so. Seems about right.
Got a nice push from 2 comedy websites yesterday: www.FUNNYNOTSLUTTY.com and www.COMEDYRANTS.com

Posted project update #10The Kickstarter Is Half Full!
Post CommentOptimism, people! We're getting there and it's all thanks to you. No band is an island! This week has been big for donations and support and we thank you BEYOND thank you.
Today we are doing some "behind the scenes" shooting with Tridango Prods. covering some of the silly ins and outs of producing a monthly show (Alter Ego) and clips of us being the house band. The relationships the bandmates have with each other naturally become more dramatic under moments of tension and stress. (We'll save MOST of that for RECORDING!!) Tonight is about fun and being playful and enjoying the thing we all love the most: performing LIVE!
Perhaps you want to spread the word and ask some of you friends and family to support our cause? Well! We have JUST the blurb for that sort of thing RIGHT here:
KILL THE BAND is leaving NYC and heading up to the woods to record their first fully visualized comedy concept rock album at Leopard studios. While sequestered in the studio, Tridango Prods will shoot a mockrockdocumentary of the "making of" the album. KTB will take their Thanksgiving vacation to create a one of a kind experience for the listener/viewer. This is not your mom's musical comedy album! With songs like "Don't Attack Me With Your Happiness", "Famous Baby", "Girl Balls" and "Mock Bottom" you can expect to be surprised and will constantly find new, hilarious layers throughout this ridiculous experiment in music and comedy (Bright Side Of The Moon?).
