I'm pleased to let you know that The New York Group Show will take place this year after all. Currently I am accepting submissions for a holiday housewarming exhibition at my new loft in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn.
The theme is: "I am the judge. I am the jury." Rebellion & Empowerment in Contemporary Art. Details are available on my blog and the deadline for submissions is December 10, 2011. Thanks again for your past support and friendship!

My Dear Friends and Backers,
Well..., you are off the hook! Seriously though, these are words no one likes to see attached to anything they do. Nevertheless, I am very happy for your support and enthusiasm for the ideas behind this proposal. The conversations begun with many of you will continue. I remain committed to the larger work of empowering people and the arts to engage in new ways.
I think it's pretty kick-a$$ that 34 of you put your names behind The New York Group Show. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I am thinking about how I might host the exhibition anyway by raising money elsewhere to cover the costs. Perhaps I could be of more benefit to artists doing things in a more traditional way...or a hybrid...such as crowd sourcing nominations, but having a committee of curators, dealers, shall we say, "insiders," participate in the final selection.
I'd love to hear your thoughts about what should live on and what should be forgotten regarding this project idea. It's not over...
