Thank You Letter From Invisible Children to YOU!

    Hello friends,

I came home to some GREAT mail the other day. It was a letter from our friends at IC thanking us for our work with Le Carnaval Invisible! Our donation is being used in the protection plan to help build a network for "early warning radio." This will warn villages of where the LRA is, or where they are headed. Our donation is also being using to build a rehabilitation center for those who are rescued and for support of those who are in need. This is HUGE. I can't thank you enough for your support.

I have attached the card and letter that was sent. Please read it, and be blessed today!

        Ms. K -

        What a blessing!

What God gave you a vision to do, you've done. Over and above all that could have been hoped for or imagined....you were able to abandon your visions of what the event should look like, and pour yourself into what God's plan was. And there's no disappointment; on the contrary, I am awed at your ability to hear God's plans for you so clearly, and launch them with clarity and a sense of joyful abandon.

This has been an inspirational journey to watch unfold, and one that will change the lives of the Invisible Children. May they be seen clearly through all of our eyes from now on.

        love,
        Lynne

Gospel Jam: Concert and Invisible Children Screening! Final Event on February 26th, 2011!

    Hi everyone,

It's been quite a while since my last update. Let me catch you up!

As you know we were supposed to have our big press dinner to launch our main event this summer. Long story short, everything that could go wrong did. It's been quite a ride, and at times very frustrating. My original vision of the HUGE carnival just doesn't seem feasible with the budget that we have, and it's understandable in this economy. Somtimes God's plans just don't match up with ours, but in the end His plan is best. So, I've decided to head in another direction.

On February 26th, we will be holding a Gospel concert at Saddleback Church! It's going to be fully catered, and not only that we have 2 representatives from Invisble Children and a special guest from Uganda who will be premiering IC's latest movie entitled "Tony."

This is not a church service but a night to celebrate with good music (my lovely mother will be leading, so if you've ever wanted to hear her sing, here is your chance) good food, and even better people! Tickets will be $25-$30 and will go on sale soon! Of course proceeds will go to Invisible Children, and at the end of the event, that money and the money we raised for 'Le Carnaval Invisible' will be immediately donated to IC and we will wrap this up! What an amazing way to start 2011!

I know this wasn't the original plan, but when I look back at the amount we raised in support of this cause, I realize we STILL came out on top and raised a lot of money for this cause. This may not be our carnival but we are still a blessing to these children, and that was my goal in the first place. Sometimes we have to adjust our vision to see the big picture, so that's what we're doing.

I hope you'll all come out to this event. I think it will make this cause real for everyone, and we will be able to see who we're helping. I'm very excited about this. Spread the word!

Watch the trailer for "Tony" here:

Love you all and thank you so much for all your support.

As to why Britney? Well, the fact is whether or not people love her or hate her makes no difference. Her Glee episiode alone was the highest rated episode of both seasons and broke ratings records. People are still interested in Britney. Her making this video will make news, no matter what and that's what we want! Woo hoo! Haha.

    One word.

Tomorrow I was supposed to meet with Jason Russell to tell him about Le Carnaval Invisible, but once again, we've had to reschedule. A friend of mine is launching a new magazine and wanted to interview and do an editorial on Invisible Children and interview Jason for the premiere issue. With all these delays it may not happen. This is something I feel we really needed to get the word out, so I'm a little bit disappointed.

On another note, we've set a tentative date for the Le Carnaval Invisible press dinner! It's looking like it will be held on December 9th at Anqi Bistro, and may even be partially sponsored by the Crustacean Group! So, please send me allllll of your happy thoughts and prayers!

Oh yeah! So, I was thinking about holding another fundraiser sometime in December to help raise money for the main event. Its gonna be MADNESS, and a lot of fun. I can't wait to tell you all what it is!! Muhahahahaha!

I hope you're all having a good week!

    Best,
    Kamari
