Posted project update #11Riding a Rickshaw
Hi guys!
So, I have settled into my new home in India. I am writing this from the Drishtee office. My first project is rural women entrepreneur development. I am so excited to dive in and get started on it on Monday!
As for this weekend, a few of the other interns and I are going to Manali to explore!
Also, I took a video of what it's like getting around here: http://www.youtube.com/watch... Rickshaw ride through Ghaziabad!
Anyways, that's all for now.
Much love,
Jodi

Posted project update #724 Hours to Go.. OH MY!
Post CommentWith only one more day to fundraise, all I can do is send a humongous THANK YOU to all of those who have helped out on this amazing Kickstarter journey.
I have gotten so many incredible emails, pledges, tweets, and notes that have inspired me and made me so grateful and amazed at people's generosity. Thank you for taking the time to check out my goal, for your support, for spreading the word, and for pledging.
It's been remarkable.
We have 24 hours to raise another $1,100 and I know it's possible.
So, now I have to ask one more thing from all you wonderful people out there in cyberspace: Let's have ONE LAST RALLY to spread the word!Tweet about it, email blast it, blog it, and call some folks you know... WE CAN DO THIS!

Posted project update #5Press and Last Week Strategy
Post CommentI can't believe it, but this project was just featured in an article in the OC Register!
http://www.ocregister.com/news/jodi-261455-india-sagorin.html
Also, WOW, tons of new backers in the last few days... so awesome. Thanks a million and keep spreading the word!
With only a week left to fundraise, it came at a perfect time.
To be honest, I can't believe we only have 7 days left. Time flew by!
With over half the funds left to raise, it's time to flip this Kickstarter into high gear.A Little Last Week Strategy:
1. Continue to SPREAD THE WORD! Re-Tweet, Re-Blog, Re-Email Blast, Re-Everythingggg! Call everyone you know and tell them we have 7 days to raise this CA$H!2. To all you already incredible donors, CONSIDER RAISING YOUR PLEDGE. If everyone added a little extra to their pledge, this project would still have a chance, plus it'll allow me to send you even more cool prizes!
3. Since we're almost at half funded, if every backer could RECRUIT 1 MORE BACKER, it would get this project funded!
4. As always, SEND ALL THE VIBES YOU GOT, pray, whatever! Anything that you think will help, just go for it.
We need a huge push to make this trip a reality, and I know it's possible.
Love y'all!
Namaste,
xoxo

Posted project update #413 days to go... Time to Kick it into Pirate Mode!
Post CommentNamaste!
We have 13 days left. Time flies and with so much left to raise, it's time to take it up a notch.
I am happy to announce the Pirate Bath t-shirt incentive is now only 3 bucks! For a $3 pledge, I'll send you the t-shirt of your choice. These retail for so much more, so it truly is an amazing deal.
Not only is this a steal for an awesome tee, this is the LAST OPPORTUNITY EVER to buy a Pirate Bath tee! You read correctly.
After this fundraiser is over, Pirate Bath Clothing is shutting it's doors forever. In other news, I am learning Hindi! I now know how to say basic phrases like "Meera Naam Jodi Hey!" to introduce myself and that milk is called "Doodh". I won't mention to much that after I learned the latter, my house was filled with "Pass the doodh, Dude!" comments over breakfast. Ok, dumb joke :)
Still my progress in learning the language has been great and I'm confident I will be able to communicate in two months time when I take off for India! The closer we get to the end of this Kickstarter, the more anxious and excited I get to start my project.
I know we can get this funded! Spread the word, you amazing people. Thanks a million!
xoxo

Hi Jodi,
Looks like you are out exploring the area, I sort of expected that. Is that the Drishtee near Sibsagar, Assam, or Delhi? I'm assuming it's the one near Delhi, otherwise Manali would be a bit far for a weekend trip. Where is the Woman's project located and what will you be doing?
I hope it's not too hot? That part of the world can get and stay quite warm.
Be careful - but have fun.
Bruce
Hi Jodi,
I noticed the monkeys - you seem to look for them where ever you go. Hope things are going well.
