Posted project update #9We started!
Hey everybody,
Sorry we've been so quiet. We've been busily refining the script, casting and doing preproduction, and for various reasons our start date kept getting pushed. It all benefitted the movie quite a bit, however.
But, the good news is, we've officially started shooting! We just completed our first week. If all goes according to plan, we should finish principle photography by the end of June. We've already gotten some really great stuff.
Thanks everybody for your support. We'll have more regular updates from now on.
There are a bunch of photos on the facebook page for the movie. So check it out and give it a like!

Posted project update #7A quick update and info about rewards
Post CommentThe Popovich movie is still on schedule to begin filming in late January/early February! Thank you so much for your support!
Our estimated delivery date for the rewards is August 2012. (We hope) But for those of you who got tickets (pledged 150 or more) to Popovich's stage show: you can redeem those tickets immediately! If you are in Las Vegas (or plan to be) he will be performing at the V Theater inside Planet Hollywood for the next few months. After that he plans to go on tour. Check out updated times and dates here:
To redeem your tickets simply email mike@lightforgestudios.com a week in advance and let him know how many tickets you need and when. The offer doesn't really expire. If he has a show you can get tickets, assuming they don't sell out before you ask for them.
Check back for the schedule every once in a while if you don't live in Vegas to see when Popovich will be near you.

Pffff I though for so long this Kickstarter wouldn't make it. It was stuck at a few hunderd dollars for ages, then a few thousand...
Do you guys have any more information or like a graph Y = money, X = time to illustrate the changes?

Posted project update #5quick little offer for our awesome backers
Hey,
Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow!
I just thought I'd let everybody know that our Dad, Gary Thompson, will be shooting behind the scenes photos during the entire shoot. He's been a professional photojournalist for over 35 years, and was nominated for a Pulitzer for his photos of the MGM fire in 1980. We're going to compile the photos he takes of the shoot into a special limited edition photo book that will be signed by the cast and crew. We'll be giving one of these books to the first 60 people who increase their contribution by at least $40. (you'll still get whatever new rewards the increased contribution makes you eligible for as well)
But there's no pressure. You've already done a lot for us and we can't tell you how grateful we are. We just thought this would be a really nice thing to offer for this last push.
Thanks again. One more day! We're almost there!
